After a Week 0 loss to 4A #2 Franklin Simpson, Elizabethtown had an open week last week to correct issues that were exploited by Franklin-Simpson. This week Elizabethtown plays at North Hardin County. North Hardin had a shut-out win against John Hardin last week. Who wins?

Lexington Catholic looked pretty solid last week in their win over 6A #11 Ryle. This week they travel down the road to take on Lafayette. Lafayette lost to a very good Scott County team last week. Who wins?

Corbin travels to Pulaski this week. The drummer seems to still be drumming the same beat as last years successful season for Corbin as they are 2-0 in a young season with a win over 2A #4 Danville in their resume. Pulaski comes in 1-1 after a defeat to Wayne County last week.

Bryan Station heads to CAM stadium this Friday night. Belfry has been known to serve up wonderful hospitality to their guests, but not many wins, or even points for that matter. Belfry is fresh of a loss to a very good Huntington High team while Bryan Station was beaten by Simon Kenton last week.

Fern Creek, 1-1 thus far hosts a very non-charitable Central team this week. Central is 2-0 and has yet to allow a point in their 2 games. Central looks to continue the trend this week.

Titletown USA 2018 edition. Danville travels 2.4 miles to Boyle County High this week. Danville is coming off a loss to Corbin. Boyle County is rolling and looks to continue.

Western Hills did not start the season out the way they intended after a loss to Franklin County. They will ride the Robinson train into Irving looking to get back on track. Estill county will try to forget last week's 58-0 loss to 1A power Paintsville and give the faithful reason to celebrate.

Caldwell County looks to get back on pace after a close defeat to Christian County. Graves County looks to continue marks in the win column.

Larue County started their season last week with a solid performance over Marion County. Russell County looks to start their season off on the right track.

Lexington Catholic will be hosting this week's game feeling pretty good about themselves with a very successful debut against 2017's 5A State Runner-up. Ryle will be coming into town licking their wounds after fighting the buzzsaw that is Cov Cath. Ryle wants to right their ship and show they are worthy of attention.

In what could be called a clash of the Titans Danville and Corbin clash in a must see contest. Both teams ended their season at Commonwealth last year and both look and expect to do the same this year. Both looked impressive in their first hurdle last week and look to build some momentum.

Belfry doesn't believe in cupcakes to start a season. They will open their season this week in the Pike County Bowl facing the pre-season #4 in West Virginia's largest division, Huntington High. Huntington has plenty in the cupboard, especially at the tackle position boasting two of the top tackles in the state. 4-star 6'6" 320 Darnell Wright holds down one end while 2 star 6'4" 290 Max Howell is on the other side.

Central looked very strong in their opener, and a little stingy too, shutting out Manual 18-0. Western tripped out of the gates but could certainly get some attention by pulling off an upset at Central.

#1 Boyle County looked every bit as good as predicted in a win against 6A #10 Ballard last week. This week, 4A Franklin County, fresh off their win against Wandale Robinson and the Western Hills Wolverines, come to town.
