Why?

If Montgomery was in the 16th it would be a 70-80 mile one way drive to play teams in the 63rd and 64th district. It would be 50- 60 miles one way to teams in the 62nd. Doesn't really seem like there would be any natural rivals for them other than maybe Rowan.

Has anyone else heard Coach Cooper from Garrard County stepping down?

I feel like the NCAA put the shot clock in because of monetary reasons. If they don't get viewers (and most people don't like watching this style) then they lose advertising revenue. Just my opinion.

I know I would...what are they gonna do? Take away my $60 per game? lol. And as far as the headbands go, that has a very dramatic effect on the game. lol Some "rules" should be abolished, but it looks like common sense isn't really that common after all.

Well apparently they refused to enforce the "take a seat" portion because so many of you are crying about it. Ansd my point may be lost on you, but I understand.....don't forget to wear your helmet.

If we are talking about RULES...and I think we are...then both committed an infraction. Are you saying that one is worse than the other? And I think I know where the break in the synapse occurred...

My argument is the posters that want selective enforcement. Reprimand (technical foul) the opposing coach (Thacker )for being up after a T; an admitted violation. Let my coach ( Humphrey) stand at half court, 2 steps out on the court wherever he wants with no consequences. My point being, both are violations. One is no worse than the other IMO.

I simply said Humphrey was consistently out of the coaching box, which is a violation of a rule, in which the punishment is a technical foul. Was he warned? I don't know. But if he wasn't then that's an example of a rule not being enforced on the other coach.

Well warranted? What did he say to warrant one? I was on the other side of the gym, so I don't know. All i know is what the man told me after the game. As far as Humphrey being up...the point is valid if he is consistently out of the box. That's as much against the rules as being up after a technical foul.

No. He didn't call all the fouls on GRC. And Fatkin gave 2 fouls very late in the game after RC took the lead. He was the one that T'd Wing up when he didn't say a word. He was the the one that T'd Thacker up when Thacker had turned away after questiong the Wing Tech. As a matter of fact, he didn't call very much on GRC at all. Not saying more was warranted, just making an observation. And yes, he was the one with the phantom over and back call. He's...let's just call it "not very good". As far as the "they let the coach wander"....I saw the man get up 3-4 times to shout instructions to his team on the other end of the floor. Is he supposed to do that? No, probably not. I didn't see him set any screens or score any points. But if we're going there, the GRC coach was at half court several times coaching his team. Everybody does it. But if we're talking conspiracy theories, then he probably deserved a technical foul for being out of the coaching box, and even out on the floor and was not given one. The fact that Humphrey was out of the box all night or Thacker stood up after he got T'd had NO effect on the game at all.

Are you really going to go there? After last year's fiasco at GRC? I'll tell you one thing, I've seen a lot of teams from the 16th Region go in to GRC, Mason Co., Montgomery Co. only to see the home team get a "very favorable whistle" to say the least. How about pointing to the fact that Fatkin was held to 12 points and 4 rebounds as a key to the game? Or that nearly half (19 of their 45) shots were 3's, resulting in only 8 FT attempts while Rowan attacked the rim against GRC's man pressure. Two very solid, well coached teams that are going to be tough outs in March. All that said, the one guy that T'd everybody up has issues.

Montgomery County was really good offensively early. I believe they were 13-17 from the floor the first quarter per their radio crew. Lady Vikings kept battling and won the second half. Congrats to both teams.
