Who are going to be the top teams and players in the region?

Top Teams: Southwestern, Pulaski County, Wayne County, Boyle County, West Jessamine, East Jessimine, Danville, Somerset, Mercer County

Top Players: David Kapinga, Taylor Gover, Cody Johnson, Justin Edwards, Tyler Goins

Pulaski should be the team to beat in the 12th region next year (depended upon who transfers in to Southwestern). Pulaski returns almost every player that was on the roster last season including all 5 starters and top 2-3 reserves.

Austin Sebastian(Jr) from Garrard County is going to become more well known next year.

 

Hagen Tyler(So) from Boyle County will make a name for himself next year.

Ronnie Carson(So) from East Jessamine will have to carry them.

I like your list, SHS. I do think that Garrard County will be better than East Jessamine. Top 4 look perfect. *dependent upon who transfers into Southwestern.*

A little unsure about Garrard County next year. Losing big man Micah Miniard to Boyle County (a story in and of itself) could hurt, but the Lions bring in a solid freshman class that MIGHT be able to give a little depth. I honestly think Garrard's best team will be 2013-14, but I suspect Coach Cooper will have a pretty solid club next season.

Tall kid, about 6'5. Player very little on the basketball team but had shown progress. His real sport is baseball, where he was expected to be the best pitcher for Garrard this season, only to transfer to Boyle right after basketball. He won't be eligible to play basketball next season. Garrard has challenged with the KHSAA whether the move was legitimate.

Gotcha. What grade is he in?

Until Pulaski Co. shows they can win a region game ( 1 region win in past 3 years ) I not sure how you can say they are best team in region even if they bring all their players back they still lost first game of the region . Results and stats during regular season dont mean anything if you cant back it up come tourney time .

Using that logic Southwestern shouldn't have been called the best team in the region last season. And using that logic Boyle County is the second best team in the region in 2012-13.

And I want to it to be known the the 2011-12 All 12th Region team was a complete and total joke. 21 kids made it. Ridiculous.

Four starters and the 7th man from East Jessamine made it. Tayshaun Hairston and Cameron Thomas were the odd Jaguars out.
