East gets a cheap one with :03 seconds left in half. Threw for a couple of first downs, had a 15 yard late hit penalty to get them to Central 17. On their 3rd attempt the connect for a TD. East 20 Central 12 Half.

Central takes it right down the field with with a big catch and run making up most of the damage but then turn it over on downs on the East 11. 6:30 1st.

BE takes opening KO down the field and scores on a qb keeper on 4th and 8 from the Central 28. East 7 Central 0 9:46 1st.

Little off topic, but Clayton Davis would have started for every team I saw play that year, and I saw a bunch play. Heck of a football player.

I think this is the most discussion I may have ever seen for a play that did not DIRECTLY influence the outcome. You notice I said directly. Was it important, yes. If it wasn't the Boyle coaches would not have been so happy. Did it determine the winner, no.

I don't think a Lincoln win is a forgone conclusion. I just think they may be a little better. I have seen Lincoln play, and I've seen East J on film and with that information I came to the conclusion that I think Lincoln might be better. I think that's the "prediction" part of the thread title.

Lincoln is better than they were last year. But that doesn't mean they are a really good team yet. They started the season last year at 4-0 and then lost their last 6. I don't think that will happen this year but I do think they are better than they were last year.

Louisville Central and Bullitt East have played 12 times since 1999 with the teams splitting the games evenly with both winning 6. The teams played 10 times between 1999 and 2007, before restarting the annual contest in 2023. The teams have split the last two contests with Central winning last year and East winning in 2023. These two teams usually play a pretty tight contest and I expect this next one to be no different. East comes into the game at 2-2 winning their last two against the other two Bullitt County teams by a large margin. Central also comes in at 2-2 winning their last two against less than stellar competition as well. Central has struggled to score their first three games before exploding for 49 against Shawnee last night. After a terrible showing against Boyle, East has settled down and gotten better each week. I think East should be able to beat Central this week but they need to keep improving. I'm just not sure Central can score enough to upend the Chargers. I'll take East by 14.
