  1. Guess what? A bird has flew out of the nest at South Laurel. John Green is now on coaching staff with Evans. This will be a plus for the Panthers. John Green has been under a great program at South Laurel and will have alot to offer this program. He is also a terrific gentelmen as well. Good luck! John Green. Great pick Evans. Things are looking up at the Panther's House.
  2. I have spent a little time down in williamsburg watching these athletes, and trust me it would be almost impossible to let each one play in their most attractive positions. There is so much talent on the field, most of them can and have played multiple positions. From what i can gather they will split times as evenly as they can. Its very exciting to watch the coaches put them through their paces. What a bunch of thourobreds. Can't wait untill tonite at the dinner. Good luck to all and hope Michael Campbell MLB and Jessie Hayden OL have a great game also. Go KENTUCKY..:dancingpa
  3. Amen to that! Can't wait, I"ll be their early!!!!!!!, Sunny day no wind chill, perfect for football. Good luck to all!:dancingpa
  4. Everyone knows the linemen are part of the equation, and that you couldn't drive a car down the road without an engine. How much can you conversate about two big engines blocking each other, then doing it again and again and again. Even the most articulate would stuggle to keep someones attention. Love those linemen though
  5. That sums it all up, any other reason would be meaningless. This is a fantastic opportunity for these young men to showcase their skills and meet and greet with colleges. A once in a lifetime event, It is just fantastic that the local organizers put together such a function. Thanks to all involved for giving our, KY and TN young men this honor.:thumb:
  6. You hit the nail on the head, Michael and company did do just what the coaches ask of them and only that, No #'s No indviduals, no I, just Team. Should that affect acknowledgement, I think we need a better way!!! If it's all about #'s Lets' talk 13-1, Anyone in the Mountains have those #'s , besides the State Champs. Don't think so. Should actually be 3-4 on the list somewhere, but thanks for the kind words they'll appreciate it. As i am a mountian teams fan, I love them all to win, I'm sure Corbin's players as well as Knox Centrals understand the concept of Team. Again (I) takes you nowhere most of the time. Thanks for letting me vent! Congratulation to all selected.
  7. wow! thought i was dreaming last night. Congrats to all the deserving young men though. Campbell not being acknowledge is terrible. That Fullback averaged 9.8 yards per carries on 3rd and 4th and short 80% of the time. Think about that a minute. There was no better FB in the state this year, let alone the mountains, and we won't even talk about Defense. Congats to 2A coach of the year, don't know how you did it.
  8. Wow! Who votes on these things. To miss one of the best player in the state , unacceptable. He would stack him up against anyone in the state. Michael if your out there, you know in your heart where you stand. The ones you played against gave you your respect. Keep your head up kid!!!!!!!!
  9. Michael Campbell-Corbin Redhounds, Senior. 5-11 235lbs. 4.7 forty. vertical 34". 400lbs Bench, 550lbs Squat, 300lbs Clean, FB, MLB ,Kicker. Strong, fast, Quick, Loves the Game and never stops training. Check out sample video at Fullback position on UTUBE. Type in Michael Campbell Football.:thumb:
  10. They will have a total of what looks to be 7 practices, approx 16-20 hrs. I think they will mix it up a bit to showcase as many players as possible and still give themselves a shot at the ring. Good luck guys. Stay in shape!!!!! January 17th will be here in no time.:thumb:
  11. Thanks. Now that's a nice website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:jump:
  12. Can anyone posts the TN roster? I have heard the line is hugh, and alot of talent again this year. Can't wait to see our men stack up! It's a special time of year for this group. Thanks to all for providing our area with this opportunity.
  13. Why do you continue to put so much pressure on Corbin? You rank them #1 at the begining of the season you pick them to win about every game. You know these kids see what you write about them. You can motivate them by calling out their accomplish ments. But you continue to put pressure on them picking them by 18 pts. It is evident that you are a Corbin fan. Why pressure these kids? Corbin has a very good team like the rest of the 13th region and it will be a dog fight this whole season. Corbin has an outstanding program that speaks for it's self. I say this game is a toss up. Who ever wants it the most wins!
  14. Great game. congrats Beechwood. Anyone know the field condition? Any snow last night ect. ect.
  15. In my mind only one man could have helped this game. Nice game plan. The Campbell kid could not have been stopped, Would not have been stopped. When you have a leader you must let him lead. Give him the ball 20-30 times on something other than a 3rd an whatever. Watkins was hurt. Duh!!! 2-years in a row they did not give Campbell an opportunity to help his team. Good job again. Maybe he will get the chance at the next level. Hounds we are all proud of you! NCC congrats and good luck.
  16. Miller had 30 pts for the night. KnoxCentral needs to step up the defense. To many open shots for the Dragons. Lack of defense is probably due to conditioning of the football players. Things should pick up in the next couple of weeks.
  17. First and foremost let me congradulate both teams on their success this year. Two very formidable football programs, and look where we are again! NCC has some very good athletes as usual and a coaching staff that sure knows how to get it done. With that being said let me throw in my two-cents. You took it to the Hounds last year and we have been working very hard to get back to this point. The key to any football game is not and never will be who beat who and by how much, The key is the ability of the coaching staff to prepare their players to perform tasks (usually different every week) that will give their team an edge. This task becomes more duanting as the talent level increases. Hence State semis'..... It is my opinion that Corbins' talent level and athleticism is as good as any team ever fielded. This will help the coaching staff with their game plan for friday. We must use our speed/strength to slow down the QB. He can't be allowed to stand in the pocket or he will pick a defense apart. That being said, when he runs we must spy him, and stop him for short yardage. I know eaiser said then done. Our dbs' can stay with them for awhile, but we must get to the QB, When he hands off to the RB it will be up to the big four and linebackers to make the plays. Now for the offense. It's very simple, They must control the LOS this friday! With all the athletes we have you can't beat a great team without this, The rest is easy. run, run, run, run/pass. run, run, run, run/run. Corbin has in their arsenal a football player who cannot be stopped, they did not use him last year like they should have. Hopefully we have learned. Give the man a Red-Bull and ride him to Louisville. Goodluck-Go Hounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fight:
  18. Michael Campbell: Corbin Redhounds Senior. 5'11' 230lbs FB, MLB, Kicker, & Punter. Corbin-30, Bath Co. 8. 6Runs-126YDS. 2 Touchdowns -2pats' & l-22yd Fieldgoal, 2 Punts 1@50yds, 1 @42yds and 17 Tackles. Six Solo's. Radio Station WCTT 107.3 Corbin, KY. Announcers Dave King and Dave Cox.
  19. Sounds good to me. Count me in. We should be proud of our young men. Where can you find two teams this close to each other with this kind of talent? I wish both teams the best and may the players decide who wins the game. The lord knows both teams have put a great deal of time hard practices into their season. Thanks for the invitation. Now that's class.
  20. No, not an assistant. I just stated the facts. Sometimes the truth hurts. You are right about one thing. Bell does have a good team as does Knox Central. I am sure the crowed cheered for Knox Central when they heard the score of the game. Who wouldn't want two teams less than 15 miles apart to play this game. Don't diss on the monster that the king has created. I am sure their is enough room for two kingdoms to be set up in the mountains.
  21. I would stop and think before I made a post like that. Where do you think Mills got his coaching techniques. It came from the king on the hill. By your comments it would lead me to think that Bell really is worried about next weeks game. I wish both teams the best of luck. I will be intresting to see the turnout on this one.
