Hi gang--it's that time of year for the 2008 KNN High School Scoreboard Show.

 

We'll again be using your nominees for Player Of The Week, and the official rankings will come from BluegrassPreps.com.

 

We'll be heard on at least 30 stations around Kentucky, with more on the way. I'll post a full station list as soon as it's finalized.

 

As always, I'd like for all of you to post the stations in your area that air high school games. We'll use reports from those stations in the show as much as possible. If you know the identity of the announcers that's a bonus.

 

When nominating a Player Of the Week candidate, please include the players name, school, size, (ht/wt), class, (soph/jr/sr) and position. Then give an accurate listing of the stats he posted that week. Carries, yards, etc.

 

We'll use all the nominees and give them a mention, and then one will be chosen for POW.

KNN Scoreboard Show

Fugate of Breathitt Co. I think he had 371 yards rushing and 5 td. I do not how many in the air.

From NKY, I nominate both Simon Kenton RB, Miles Simpson who rushed 41 times for 287 yards and five TDs. Miles broke the school record for scoring for the third time this season, and is a major reason why SK is the only 4 seed left in the state.

 

Nick West, QB from Conner posted 23 of 34 passes for 365 yards and five touchdowns in a losing effort to SK.

#35 John-Scott Carver 5'9" 180lbs Senior Running Back/Linebacker from Raceland. Rushed for 218 yards on 14 Attempts and 4 Tds, 1 Fumble Recovery for 36 yards and had 5 solo tackles vs Fairview in Round #2 playoff game. This year so far he has 1226 yards on 138 attempts for and Avg. of 8.8 yards a carry and 19 Tds this year.

Corbin Redhounds Senior Michael Campbell: FB, MLB, Kicker, & Punter. In a win over Bath County, he ruches 6 times for 126 yards and 2 Touchdowns. He also kicked 2 pats and a 22 yd Fieldgoal, had two Punts 1@50yds, 1 @42yds and 17 Tackles. Six Solo's.
