Exactly, I call Cov Cath the sleeper of 4A, not in a bad way. Just watch out and know your competition.

Considering the butt wiping that Trinity put on all out of state foes this year and little Highlands finally beat the mighty Elder to boot. Turf fields are on the rise all over the Commonwealth. It is a wonderful time to be a Kentucky High School Football Fan.

If Cov Cath is done sleep walking, then watch out. Only team to matchup with Highlands this year period.

I am excited, Towles may get to play more than one quarter. I think the JV and now the Frosh and getting a little worn out. Time to tune up the Varsity. Go BIRDS!!!!

Bring on the FROSH!!!!

This is yet another reason why the Highlands Football Program works. Throw out the records, throw out the level (Frosh, JV, Varsity), throw out home field advantage, these two Northern Kentucky Football programs dominate because they refuse to lose. Are there any two more similar programs where fan support, number of athletes, dedication, and performance are more equal? This is one of the best rivalaries in the Commonwealth and if you fail to attend or listen on the internet, you LOSE!

Could this be the most competitive class in the KHSAA for Football?:confused: It may look like a one man show, but .......... how about Cov Cath being able to go toe to toe with the Birds? Looks like a lot of central, eastern, and/or mountain schools not willing to go quietly into the night. Lex Cath is back, Rockcastle, Russell, Ashland Blazer, Johnson-Central, Knox Central are all in this dog fight and anyone can win on any given night. Can Boyle Co peak at the right time? I see some awesome playoff matchups in the making.:taz:

Gentlemen and Ladies, yes my wife is addicted to this sight too; let's just say when a team goes up against any of the many storied football programs in the GCL you are in for a game. Not matter if it is an off year, suspensions, injuries, who cares, its the greatest game on earth. Elder, St. Xavier, Moeller, and that little city school of Colerain are all State Champs in Football for one of the cornerstone States of High School Football. That is big time whether you like those teams or not. Twenty State Football Championships in Kentucky is nothing to sneeze at either. This was yet another classic rivalry created by some of the best high school football players from two states. This just happened in our own back yard, no matter what side of the River you are on, and we all had a front row seat. How can you not get excited when two former State Championship teams faceoff? Bring on the traditions and let's all enjoy!
