Good Game! Good to see a little bit of passing, should open up the way for TJ, Marcus, and Coty a little more! All three played well! We have 3 excellent backs that bring something different to the field. I think we can really wear teams down with that three headed beast! Coach Larkey's comment in the paper about not knowing Tucker could run like that was dead on! I've said for the last two years he has that deceptive speed! Of course it don't hurt when you can run over them either! He may have earned a chance to make that 3 headed beast a four headed monster! Not even my kid and I was climbing the fence about to have a heart attack! Go Bears!!!

I hear Coach Larkey really wants this game. I've heard him talk about how he doesn't like his team to go back to school on monday as losers. They have made some adjustments so I look for a much improved team.

Let there be no mistake we support Coach Larkey 110%! I am just a armchair quarterback that doesn't have the knowledge to understand the Genius that is Larkey!!! He will no doubt lead or point us in the direction of the Promised Land! Hail Larkey! Go Bears!!!

I think he wanted to know what school the Jackson kid plays for. The Lewis kid came into the game against South Western and made several tackles, I believe Harlan County is better with him on the field Frosh or not. Wondering if his play earned him a starting position this week?

That's something we need to work on is the Black Bear Band a lot of times they are non-existent! Of course we only have had 3 home games so far, but I can hardly remember hearing them. I don't like to get caught up in all of this look at me at a football game. There wouldn't be a need for a band or cheerleaders on Friday nights if it wasn't for Football! I don't think we have a big problem with that but I think people have forgotten that Cheerleaders and the Band are out there to help support the Football team, When the team needs a shot it's the band and cheerleaders job to do that! But I agree it's hard to beat hearing the Band tear into a good song, with the crowd chatter and cheerleaders going in the background. That really makes the atmosphere. Lets make that number 10a.

McMillian and Taylor provide us enough speed to be competitive and TJ ads that toughness that will rub off on these young running backs! I look for the offense you show some things this week. I don't know why but I felt like Coach Larkey still didn't want to tip his hand and once we were down he just wanted to run the same plays. Hard to figure him out sometimes, but he will have them ready no doubt, no doubt in my mind!

Speed isn't everything! SW was fast, but we hit them at the line a lot and tried to tackle them up high. All they had to do was turn their shoulder and run. If you make the tackle before they get going, they never get a chance to turn that speed on. Does anyone know anything else about Lee, other than the Graham kid is fast? I think we just need to get a little creative on offense. I would like to see some play-action screen passes--especially to get it to Clarke and make it a little easier on TJ. Something needs to be done to keep the Defense from crowding the line and I'm sure Larkey and staff will have it all under control.

That running back is Tyler Graham. I think he is #5, and I believe he had over 100 yards rushing against Powell Valley last week. He never really got out in the open field in last year's game. Unless he got stronger, he wasn't very strong, just fast. If our boys can get hold of him they should be able to tackle him; but they did have some problems with that against SW. From what I read on the internet about the Lee/PV game, he may be all they have; but I'm not for sure. Does anyone know anything about Powell Valley? They seemed to handle Lee pretty well.

I went into last weeks game not knowing what to expect, this week I still feel the same way. I just can't get a read on the Black Bears. Defense tightened up and played well in the 2nd half hopefully we can build on that. I wonder if TJ will be at QB? Lee Va lost to Powell Valley 41-7 last week. I say Coach Larkey rights the ship! Black Bears 21-7

I thought Preps should have been higher then as I looked at my list I thought I was going in some kind of order the game, tailgating (before and After), etc. I guess it's easier to just pick your favorite things in no particular order.

Our Black Bears never looked in sync! Never Caught a break!!! Block a punt inside the 10 yard line and have the punter pick it up and run 20 yards! I think we got shell shocked tonight. I believe they will work everything out and be alright. I would like to see TJ stay at TB, but seems like he runs better from the QB position! McMillian really stepped it up tonight a bright spot and although they gave up 35 I believe our Defense played pretty well. I came into this game not knowing what to expect from the Bears and now I'm saying let's see what happens next week. Go Bears!!!!

I have made my prediction already but really not know what to expect from the Black Bears and what I have read and watched on SW this game may very well be a defensive battle. Seems both teams have the D settled but I know for the Black Bears especially we really don't know what to expect out of the offense. From the WYMT show it sounded like SW had some questions on offense as well, but they do have a couple of strong backs. This has all the makings of a good ole I'm running the ball and you stop it game. Does SW have much of a passing game?

Our Black Bears have a lot of questions to answer and seems like SW may have a few, but it is early and I guess everyone has some questions. It could be close to a home game for SW, but the Harlan County faithful travel pretty well so I'm taking the Black Bears 27-21. Go Bears!!!

How and when did both teams score? I had a conflict of nephews playing in two different places so I didn't go to either game. Been looking at everything on here waiting to hear something about the scrimmage. Looks like both D's played well or both offenses weren't that good.

Doesn't Wayne have a cardinal now? I know South Floyd used to or still uses the 49ers SF. One of our middleschool teams in Harlan are the Patriots and I personally have spent a lot of money on New England Patriots stuff. Was it Pulaski Southwestern that used Florida State's arrow on their helmets. This is so crazy, if it comes up I would bet my life it will have to do with money.

FUMBLE?

You know I was just wondering about this subject the other day, but I wondered about NFL logo's. I know here in Harlan some of the logo's we use are from the Montana State Grizzlies. I would hate to think that someone would be that picky to worry about what a high school is doing, but it comes down to one thing, They want to get paid for someone else using the logo!

Should answer a lot of questions for the Black Bears and let us know just how this season is going to go! Winning and losing is not important in this game, but somebody told me once you sure feel better when you win! Go Bears!!!

I don't think any numbers were spouted off, our boys did come in 2nd at the Lynn Camp competition. This is a Rock thread so I will not tread on their thread, I was just looking because I know they are at camp with Harlan County.
