  1. I saw signing day come and go and didn't see any Trinity players listed. Did I miss it? Are any of the seniors going on to play in college?
  2. Wow. That's saying something when more than likely the three easiest games on your schedule are Male, Manual and Lou. X. Can't wait to see these great games every Friday night.
  3. Highlands has as many championships as Trinity. Do you propose the 5A schools do a union like strike as well?
  4. Good suggestions LW. I noticed you keep saying "their players" or "their kids" or "their youth program" when referring to public schools. Surely, you didn't mean to imply that public middle school students cannot go to Trinity did you?
  5. Everything you listed deals with issues before the kids get to high school. What should these disgruntled schools do differently with the kids they have? Or, is it a lost cause as they just aren't going to beat Trinity?
  6. Ok. Now that we have established that there is nothing Trinity needs to change, is there anything the other schools can do? Get more kids to play football? Work harder/longer in the offseason? Change schemes? What can these disgruntled schools do to improve? Or, should these disgruntled schools simply do nothing different and continue on?
  7. I don't disagree. Enrollment is definitely an advantage. I'm just pointing out with LW that Trinity doesn't nearly double most 6A schools. That is unless you call a difference of atleast 150 students nearly insignificant.
  8. Not really. I just mentioned Scott County. Most 6A schools are vastly smaller; that is a true statement. That "they have nearly double the enrollment of most schools in their class is not a true statement." Some, yes. Most, no. Scott Co. Henry Clay Eastern Dunbar Lafayette Henderson PRP Bryan Station Manual Male St. X Madison Central Ballard Central Hardin Tates Creek Butler GRC Simon Kenton Ryle Nelson Co. Daviess Co. Greenwood Meade Co. Seneca Boone Co. When doubled, have enrollments of 1,500 or greater. Words mean things.
  9. W.E.Raider, Please let us know what you think Trinity should do to change this growing sentiment? Lose some games on purpose? Not work as hard in the offseason? Let a public school beat them? What should Trinity do to make more people like them?
  10. Can we stop propagating this misnomer? Per khsaa.org, Trinity's enrollment is 1357. They do not double any, let alone most, schools in their class. Here's another fact for you: The difference of boys in Scott County versus Male is greater than the difference of boys in Trinity versus Scott County.
  11. Can someone provide a key to the abbreviations listed on the KHSAA.org enrollment reports? It looks like Scott County, Eastern and Henry Clay all have over 1,100 boys but I wanted to make sure I'm reading the chart correctly. http://www.khsaa.org/reports/enrollments/2009and2010averanegschoolenrollmentbyenroll.pdf
  12. I bet they are. Much easier to defend your coaching abilities when you advance farther in the playoffs/win district/have a winning record etc.
  13. So would the Trinity and St. X kids only play one playoff game a year (11 games total)? That seems fair to those kids...
  14. Exactly. I bet Highlands would have had a bigger crowd if the game was at Nippert or Male if it was at Papa John's.
  15. Good deal! I'll take your word for it jackdaddy!!! Sure does cut down on the nerves come December next year. I'll also let the kids and coaches now that they don't have to lift, condition, practice this winter and summer because it is a "done deal."
  16. Indianapolis Cathedral may be added as well. No more running clock games for next year.
  17. Will the KHSAA permit us to play there since it is so fuel conscious? Seems outrageous that both teams travel to stadium for a regular season district game. If we make it a home and home series, we can save another $16.38 every other year by not making the 5 mile trip.
  18. 1. Besides Highlands and Campbell, what other schools are in the county? 2. Does Campbell County have the same limitations as Boone County regarding out of district students?
  19. Obviously, the KHSAA was inundated with phone calls from other 6A schools informing them of the unfair distances our schools had to travel for district games. These other 6A schools were really doing us a favor because we can now save $2.89 on fuel by traveling 0.8 mile less a season.
  20. Wow. So here is next year's schedule: MBA Brentwood Academy Elder Moeller Lou. St. X Manual Male _____ _____ _____
  21. Did Tackett or anyone on the BOC ever provide a reason for the change?
