  1. Here's a photo taken early in the second quarter. Perhaps the Tiger "faithful" were clairvoyant?
  2. Last 4 meetings: T 48-0 T 35-7 T 41-6 T 42-6 Average score: 41-4. Trinity has made 20 extra points...St. X has scored 19 total points.
  3. Put another way, Trinity has a running clock versus every Kentucky opponent on average for 2 years.
  4. Great win Rocks. Tought to beat the #2 team in your class once, let alone twice. Close the book on the first year of the Super District: Win 41-6 St. X Win 58-7 Manual Win 49-0 Male Win 55-0 Manual Win 42-6 St. X 5-0, outscored opponents 245-19, average game 49-3. 3 down, 2 to go!
  5. Look for the Rocks to be too strong in the trenches for the Tigers. Rocks by at least one.
  6. Ox, how has Karl Roessler been playing? I was very impressed with him when I saw the Trinity game earlier this year.
  7. Overheard from athletic offices in Frankfort, "Mission accomplished."
  8. Stat of the night: Manual 36 plays... 43 yards. Trinity 43 plays... 419 yards. 2 down, 3 to go.
  9. I've now heard it all. People are complaining about throwing the ball with 3:30 on the clock in the SECOND quarter.
  10. Probably just a coincidence. KHSAA would not purposefully put those schools in the same district.
  11. 72-0 77-13 35-6 35-6 219-25 WHO COULD HAVE POSSIBLE SEEN THIS COMING??? At least we are saving gas.
  12. I thought running clock didn't begin until second half?
  13. It is a huge deal in Louisville and other major cities around the state and region. Heck, I've had non Trinity fans from overseas send emails about the Rocks being ranked #1. Granted, residents in Massac or Slade may not be following along. When the KHSAA puts the top 3 teams in a class in the same district, the finals will defnitely be less interesting than others.
  14. Can't wait to see the Kentucky AP poll this week. Hopefully Scott County still gets a first place vote.
  15. Have you or any of your minions seen Scott County play? How do they compare to the Louisville schools?
  16. Why do some papers/voters not participate each week? Who has the vote for The Winchester Sun?
  17. Given the diverse composition of Manual's student body, perhaps the gay chants were not meant to be derogatory.
  18. I think the Rocks are too big and strong in the trenches this year for the Tigers. I think X will be forced to make the decision soon on when to abandon the run (at least in the box) and go towards the spread. Trinity's defensive line is the strength of the defense, and historically, if X cannot run the ball inside they lose. I assume X is still running the 4-2-5 which may cause the Rocks some problems on offense. As usual, X will be extremely well coached and disguise their pressure adroitly. Look for Sermershein to have an impactful game for the Tigers, especially if he rolls up into the box often. Sounds like X played Moeller very tough, and but for a fumble, could have won the game. As an old poster on this board opines, let's see if the pendulum is still swinging in the same direction or if it trends back towards the middle. Trinity 38 X 10
  19. Fans walking out said best team they've played in some time. Also said #17 for Trinity was best player they've seen.
  20. I'm focusing more on X is 2-3, losing to Bowling Green Male is 1-4, losing to Floyd Central, Western, Lex Cath and Boone County Ballard is 1-4 with the only win on a return as time expired
  21. Yes. Trinity hasn't even played a Kentucky school to date.
