  1. I don't have a problem "in thinking that there are some mountain teams that can play ball." Rather, my problem is with the forty times. If those times are correct than Breathitt has one of the fastest teams in the nation. Look at the times for the top athletes in the nation: http://espn.go.com/recruiting/s/2003topaths.html Who runs the combine in Hazard?
  2. gave the boot to all private school posters and...
  3. How is that any different than what is happening now? Either way these schools will get blown out. If Trinity is banned, the schools will get blown out by Male. As far is football is concerned, I'm all for it. Trinity hasn't lost a district games since 1995; that's SEVEN seasons of undefeated district play. I don't think next year will be any different. Since, Coach Beatty took over in 2000, they have played 22 district games (including playoffs). The average score is 50-6. 44 point blowouts don't really help your team that much. As a fan why would you want to continue to watch these games? (The only benefit is the running clock rule gets you home by 9:30.) KHSAA kick us out. That's fine with me. I'd much rather see a Trinity schedule that looks something like this: MBA Elder Manual St. X Ben Davis Cov Cath Cincy St. X Lex Cath Moeller Brentwood Think about all the money the schools can make on attendance. Think about the players' experience and national exposure. Think about the challenge. Think about not having to listen to schools from lower classes and regions proffer outlandish claims that they can beat you. I'm all for it. Sure, Trinity will lose some of those games, but one thing is for sure, no matter who wins or loses, the teams, fans, and administrations will not be complaining about "unfair advantages!"
  4. Who timed these kids? Was it the Breathitt Coaching staff or administrators at a college camp?
  5. Come on NamecipS, haven't you realized that the only reason those players made all-state is that there is an anti-eastern ky bias.
  6. I agree Mr. Network. Heck, just give me Trinity and Male and you can keep the points.
  7. 1. Irregardless of where one attends school, the fact that we pay taxes gives us the right to complain. 2. I thought the advantage in numbers was the point of this thread? Now, after I've shown how St. X has a greater advantage on Trinity than the Rocks do on: North Hardin: 722 Scott County: 720 Butler: 694 Male: 681 Daviess County: 652 Henry Clay: 624 Eastern: 612 Henderson County: 611 Ballard: 594 Seneca: 589 Lafayette: 531 Manual: 515 Tates Creek: 506 PRP: 437 Paul Dunbar: 305 the argument shifts to recruiting and scholarships. I'm ready to leave the KHSAA!
  8. Thanks for the response. I'm not sure about that. I think they both have about the same on the football team.
  9. Ultimately there are three questions that have not been answered: 1. Is this advantage fair? 2. What should happen to Trinity? 3. How come Trinity fans never complain about the numbers' disadvantage they have against X?
  10. Do you wish to respond? Also, the gap between Trinity and St. X is 784 students. That gap is larger than the gap between Trinity and: North Hardin: 722 Scott County: 720 Butler: 694 Male: 681 Daviess County: 652 Henry Clay: 624 Eastern: 612 Henderson County: 611 Ballard: 594 Seneca: 589 Lafayette: 531 Manual: 515 Tates Creek: 506 PRP: 437 Paul Dunbar: 305 So, how come you never hear anyone from Trinity complain about the unfair 784 student advantage St. X has on Trinity? After all, St. X has a greater advantage on Trinity than Trinity does on all of the aforementioned schools!
  11. TheMan, You have stated numerous facts to show that Trinity has many more boys to play football. There is one other stat I would like to see: What is the percentage of boys that play football at these schools? Moreover, what would you like to see done? Do you want Trinity and X banished? Do you want the top fifteen populous schools in their own class? Everyone seems to get on here and make points about how Trinity has an advantage, whether it be unfair or fair, yet fails to offer any suggestions. What should Trinity do? Sure we have more boys then anyone except X, but is there anything we can do about it? Finally, if you took the coaching staff at Trinity and put them at any school in the state, I contend that they would win a state championship within five years.
  12. I can't believe we are having this discussion! 21 State Titles - 1 State Title. I think a more appropriate question is between NKY and Lexington, and even there I feel NKY dominates Lexington. Good Luck Lexington Schools and hopefully we will get a chance to meet you all on November 29 at 7:30 on your home field!
  13. Is this a serious thread?
