  1. I am not a Berea fan at all, but I was surprised how little class Madison Central players, fans, and coaches showed in this win. Central, I felt played dirty all game throwing elbows, pushing, and mouthing the entire game. Berea finally had enough and the Hamilton kid fought back(number 3 I believe), and then Central's coach walked out on the floor and did not get a technical called on him. I have watched Central play at least 10 times this year, and can not believe the players and coaches acted the way they did. Another thing is why Central played with this much emotion against Berea, and did not show this versus Scott Co., Lex Cath, and teams that really matter. I guess beating teams in the 44th district is all that matters. The Indians better grow up soon, because the pantry is getting pretty empty after this year.
  2. Isn't this a thread about the top Seniors-to-be? This is not a thread about the best teams in 4A.
  3. McCreary is over rated, they played Dunbar...if they played the decent teams in the 11th they couldn't even compete.
  4. I am not saying this to be mean, I have known Aaron for 15 years. Coach Stepp is a gypsy...meaning he can not sit still for very long. He may be at Harrison for a couple of years, but I really do doubt if he is there long...He had a good thing going in Clay Co. and left them, so why on Earth would he stay at Harrison an extended time. He applied for the Madison Southern job before he got the Harrison Co. gig, but the Southern people knew how he was and never gave him an interview. Aaron deep down wishes he never left Berea Community, and with them being back in a district could make the playoffs in a very weak district. I like Aaron a lot, but he puts roots down nowhere.
  5. Rico Brown from Madison Southern is a player who is 6'0" 185 and can move (legit 4.5), he has already been on visits to Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Louisville, and WKU. There is also beginning to be a little interst from UK. Rico has been the lone bright spot for Madison Southern the last few years. Coach Brumley has got his kids buying in to the weightroom this winter, and I can already see a difference in my kid, from following the lead of Rico. This kid is under the radar a bit, but Rico is a sure D-1 player.
  6. I dont think Shelton will be there after this year, maybe the next. Not that they will fire him, he got the job because of who he is there, but has obligations with his family and they are moving. Look for Shane Buttry(Madison Southern) to be the next coach, but he is pretty hot headed as well.
  7. The old Madison-Model teams of the 40's
  8. I don't think this is the appropriate thread for this.
  9. Madison Central will now have three middle schools, and they still can't get past the second round.
  10. Rockcastle needs Clayton Cash back, those boys are decent but they don't play hard.
  11. This should never happen. Unless your O.J. Mayo and your future is pretty much decided, leave middle school kids in middle school.
  12. Even until recently EKU and other OVC schools did not recruit many KY kids period. Coach Kidd mainly went to Georgia, and Florida. Danny Hope was not a big in state recruiter either. Coach Hood is slowly working toward home state kids though. I know this for a fact, their have been kids at Madison Southern and Madison Central who went and played at Western and other D-1 programs and never got the first letter from EKU and they are just a few miles away. So its not just NKY players, its that way all over.
  13. That is so true. This is not to try and disrespect anyone, but there were teams that went to the Sweet 16 they were not even better than Southern in years past. Southern either played Rockcastle tough or straight out beat them and because Southern is in the 11th region they couldn't even get out of the first round of the region. I feel like if Central and Southern were in another region that things would change dramatically.
  14. Well really and truly, I think the 44th district should not even be in the 11th region anyway. Granted Central is usually the stronger team, but Southern has had teams in the past that could have competed in other regions. Central and Southern should be in the region that Rockcastle and Clay are in.
  15. I heard the Berea Community coach was interested in the job.
  16. Total domination for the Eagles, Model had been talking all year about how they would beat Southern, and it turns out that Southern has pounded them twice. Good win for Coach Buttry's squad. Word is he may be interested in the Allen Co. job if it comes open, therefore long time Buttry assistant Duane Cress may be the new sherriff in town. Southern is playing well right now, and I believe it just may continue...Good luck Eagles!
  17. it was a good call but the coach at BC had seen a 15 point lead turn into a loss, guess he had seen enough.
  18. MS played horrible, in my opinion and still won by 16. they will meet again and I will take MS by 25.
  19. I think you are right Slap, when they get down they just cave it. I mean they didnt give up last night BUT you can see the deer in their eyes. If MS dont beat them next year they never will.
  20. College coaches arent allowed to come to games right now
  21. The staff is working hard, they will have some good things happen.
