Hey, if the rest of you across the state hear a loud screeching noise and feel the earth tremble next Friday....do not fear. Do not turn on Fox News or tune into the weather channel to see if Kentucky has joined the group of states experiencing a natural disaster. It is that 30 game regular season unbeaten streak of Murray's running into the Cardinal defense. Just my dramatic way of saying that I firmly believe that Mayfield will deliver an epic whoopin'.:clap:

It's going to be very difficult to top, or even equal, last year's performance on the field....but don't think this team won't give it their best shot. Luke Guhy will be hard to replace at the QB slot, but from what I hear, there is a young man who has moved here from Georgia that is doing a nice job at that position. This is Johnathan Jackson's team...and he is acting like it. The players have been working on their own...some at JJack's prompting...and their goal is to repeat as state champions. That remains to be seen, but I like their attitude. I do know that the first game is in Bowling Green against Greenwood. Then the next week we travel to Evansville, IN. Let's hope the price of gas takes a tumble because we are going to need it.

It's hard to say...I don't think we have ever fielded a group with this much overall team speed...the '77 and '78 teams were power teams that just ran over you..(some folks around here consider the '78 team to be our best team, but that is arguable) it would be an interesting game between the speed and explosiveness of this year's team versus the power of the '78 squad. One thing is for sure, the 2010 edition has put themselves deep into that conversation.

Just got in from BG... man, it was good to be on the winning side of the scoreboard! I feel for the folks from Hazard because we had the same thing done to us last year. As for the game, all I can say is WOW! Everyone contributed to this win. I'm very proud of a defensive unit that stymied a very potent offense...Number 8 feels great.

I agree... I heard the PT coach say on his sat. morn. coaches show following the game with Mayfield that the defense his team played against the Cardinals was the defense he saw in last years state championship game. If that defense shows up against LHC...PT wins.
