  1. He was laser timed at the Nike Sparq combine over the summer at 4.48, reguardless if you have seen him play he does not get caught from behind, Golden Sunrise can back me up on that. P.S. - if you scroll down that list you will see that Tevin and Chaz Mitchell, who is a WR on the team, and Desmond Suter, a DB on last year's team, were on the 4x100 team that broke the meet record with a 43.54.
  2. I think the top 3 kids on that list have the better shot because they play in the large divisions. Simpson and McCaden have played all there games against 6A competition in two tough regions and Collinsworth is the best player on arguably the best team in the state. I love what Andrews and McShara are doing for their teams and they both have great stats and either would be a deserving recipient but I have to think that they will ultimately get left out because they play for smaller schools. There needs to be a Mr. Football for each class so these kids can get the honor they deserve. McCaden through 9 games - 237 carries, 2007 yards, 26 TD's - 1st back in school history to break 2000 before the playoffs and Bryan Station has had some great ones.
  3. Here is the article that was in the Herald Leader today. He is a great back from a great team with great tradition! Here is the link. http://http://www.kentucky.com/232/story/994517.html
  4. I agree completely, great numbers against bad teams. He is a great player and a great kid, hopefully, he can manage these numbers deep in the playoffs, that would truly be an impressive feat.
  5. It looks like the Oldham Co. - Shelby Co. game should give someone a leg up. Just looking at the matchups you have to like Station's chances at the 1 seed.
  6. Doesn't SK's and Trinity's districts play each other in the first 3 rounds of the playoffs? If so SK will see what it's made of, that district is strong - Seneca, Eastern, Ballard and Trinity.
  7. Their middle backer Kris Bolton should be in the discussion, I think he is somewhere around 80-90 tackles on the year through 8 games. He is as good a 4-3 MLB as i've seen in a while.
  8. The game was originally scheduled to be at Station. The district moved the game to Tates Creek and made Lafayette the home team for senior night, Lafayette failed to schedule refs. Good game if you like defense both sides played well, offense was a different story. Good win for BS on a wierd night.
  9. I feel that the winner this year will be a RB. There are some kids with great numbers running the ball and unfortunately it seems that for a QB to win it he has to put up astronomical numbers to garner votes, just look at the past QB winners. All these kids are having great years, I'm pulling for McCaden, a fantastic kid on and off the field. I don't know if a player from BS has ever won the award and would like to see this kid be the first.
  10. I have seen many of these kids play and wonder how McCaden (1669 yds - 21 TD's) is not getting any love? SK guys, McCaden had 237 yards against the Henry Clay defense that help Simpson in check. His low mark of the season is 178, and is carrying his team. Every week he goes against 8 and 9 men in the box and still goes off. Boyle, SK, FC and HHS all have spread offenses or multiple weapons to loosen the defense. No kid on this list sees that kind of defensive pressure and still puts up crazy numbers on a weekly basis. Every kid in the poll is an outstanding football player and anyone of them would be deserving, but I would take this kid every day and twice on Sundays.
  11. Bryan Station's O-line has to be in the discussion, big & physical has led the way to over 200 yards rushing in every game and McCaden's 1669 yards so far this year against 8 & 9 man boxes and 6A compitition.
  12. Station could not stop the inside run, SC pounded them all night.
  13. I agree that Highlands is probably the #1 team in the state, however, there is no use getting worked up over a computer ranking. Only one ranking matters and that is the last team standing in week 15.
  14. Both teams keep it on the ground, score should be close. My prediction - the game takes only 2 hours to play.
  15. McCaden had 245 yds & 1 TD on 34 carries and was one of the lone bright spots for Bryan Station in a losing effort at Henry Clay. HC is a good team and loaded the box and he still rushed for a 7.2 yd average. Season totals through 6 games according to the Herald Leader: 1420 rushing yds & 19 TD's (1 return TD)
  16. HC did a great job capitilizing on opportunities. Station had too many miscues, its hard to win with 6 turnovers and a blocked punt for a tochdown. HC has a good team and deserved the win, much more efficient with the ball and fewer turnovers. McCaden had 34 carries for 245 and a TD but 5 terrible picks negated that good work. If BS cannot get more production from the QB position, it will be an early playoff exit.
  17. Should be a tight game and fun to watch, Station by 3
  18. At this point I think it's between McCaden, McShara, Simpson, Collinsworth and Andrews. It's going to come down to stats and how their teams do in the playoffs and who they play along the way. Unlike previous years when there was a clear front runner, the race this year is interesting with so many deserving kids.
  19. Highlands cruises, they may not be tested again unless they play Bowling Green in the finals
  20. Keep in mind it rained all week and this was probably Station's only game on grass. Also, BS had to start the back-up QB tonight due to illness, sure that affected the score. Still a good win on the road against a scrappy and talented PRP team.
  21. Tevin McCaden led Bryan Station to the win at PRP with 287 yds on 30 carries and 2 TD's. Station started their back-up QB and PRP stacked the line with 9 & 10 in the box and the kid still went for 287. He has almost 1100 yds and 17 TD's in 5 games against quality 6A teams, if he is not the front runner then this award is a farce.
  22. 5 Christian County 3 Corbin 3 Lone Oak 1 Warren Central 1 Sheldon Clark 1 John Hardin 1 Perry County Central 1 Male 1 Simon Kenton 1 Boone County 65
