I'm sure it will be back for a second season. I didn't think the finale was very good, but the build for the future will keep me watching. I thought that Season 4 was the best season of Breaking Bad, FWIW.

FWIW, if we're talking about next level talent, I would think that Goodin has a firm hold on #1 right now with Wright being there at #2 . Past that, I think Williams and Williams in some order.

People who aren't familiar with kids like this who play at smaller schools in areas like EKY might not take him seriously, but they should do so at their own risk. Kid can play, and I'm usually someone who is especially hard on mountain kids, so it's not a homer compliment that I'm throwing around. What camp was this at?

I'm glad he has more offers so I can just go ahead and say this: "who has Samford NOT offered"? If I'm a coach, I would really restrict my player's access to them unless I thought they were legitimately willing to honor an acceptance.

Dunbar's Darius Williams went for nearly 30... in a quarter. #TopsInLex (Central Kentuckians will get the reference). Kid is the real deal and lots of people who have forgotten more about the game than I'll ever know have probably backed that at one time or another. Talent.

Agreed. I'm looking forward to taking in my first Transy game when I come home next winter. Like how they are making a commitment to both Kentucky players and academics. They are recruiting high quality kids who can get it done both on the court and in the classroom. Not bad at all considering that they are still putting a winning team out, but what they do is bigger than that. Congrats to Mr. Schuh, he looks to be on a path that will set him up for life if he wants to take it.

Very underrated kid in these conversations, IMO. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he blew up this coming season. Western Kentucky being in on him so early tells me all I need to know. They are usually pretty solid with their recruiting of Kentucky kids because they have to be. I'll trust their judgement, as well as what I've seen and heard from/on Mr. Williams.

Below are two pictures from the regional tournament that someone had posted on Facebook. Great shots and shows you that he's able to come down in traffic and put one on someone's head.

Overall, a tough guard who has great leaping ability and shows nice quickness. Most mountain kids aren't known for their athleticism, but he has it, and it's not uncommon to see games where he has multiple dunks, some even coming in traffic. Plays fearlessly and in attack mode on the offensive side of the ball. Good bloodlines (Dad was a star on Clay County's 1992 team, IIRC). Offensively, he's more than just a slasher, as he has the ability to shoot and is capable of creating his own shot. Can use his athleticism to score by taking it all the way to the rim, or by pulling up and/or jumping over his defender for a clean look. More of a scorer, but he can work as a combo guard, as he played the point for a considerable amount of time this past year out of necessity. Shows a tendency to attack the middle of the floor, which can open things up for others offensively, but is also able to work from either baseline if asked. Good jump stop and floater, as well as an adequate move to pull up and go over you, so he has a few different ways that he can score. For the next level, you'd like to see him improve the way he creates space on his pull-ups and to bulk up and be able to absorb some of the contact he'll be asked to take and finish through at higher levels, but all of the tools are there and I don't doubt that he could do either. Defensively, he's able to use his leaping ability to get quite a few blocks, whether they be chase-downs or challenges where someone tries to go straight up over him. That tells me that he doesn't need a ton of space or momentum to get up, and that he has a good standing vertical. He plays passing lanes pretty well and has active hands; he also knows what to do with it in transition when he picks a pass or rips a dribble. Is a solid rebounder for his size given his ability to go up over players of similar height and snag the board. As for defensive at the next level, the improvements he'll likely be asked to make are the same as those on offense-- bulking up, and then using that weight to be more of a bully on-ball defender. Again, the tools are there and as he gets older, I am not doubting that he's able to bulk up without losing the athleticism that separates him from most others right now.

Legit 6'7 easy, probably 6'8. Nice size, and he'll probably be hard at work to put on some weight, but he's really skilled. Grew from 6'2 a few summers ago, so he's played as a guard for awhile because that's what he always projected as.

Definitely an up year from Kentucky basketball. Last year there was a huge debate on whether or not people would favor the '15 or '16 kids in a head-up game. Nice team you can make out of Beverly, Goodin, Wright, Williams, and Williams, though they are small compared to the '15 team.

Who are the favorites for Mr. Basketball, and which returning players are worthy of getting serious Division 1 interest?

Spoke with someone close to the situation. They said that a huge selling point was how up-front Navy was about how difficult the path would be there. Drew will be spending a year at the Naval Academy Prep School where he'll probably get a long look at the 3 slot, and possibly play some of the 4 as well. In general, it seemed that Navy viewed Drew as a face-up 4 or wing 3 primarily but loved the versatility he had in that he could slide to the 2 or 5 if they absolutely had to due to foul trouble, but have zero interest in him being the main post player.

Just copied this and ruled out some names that were mentioned later. Any more of these that we can rule out and/or anyone with head coaching experience that you'd think would be required by the Mason County job that we should add? I don't see someone with just a year or two experience being able to get this job.
