I know the Hammond family personally. That was never gonna happen nor was ever discussed. I think IBALL was talking about Salyers not Hammond. I never slammed the family, I just stated that what you are saying about Saylers moving and what everyone else is saying is two different things. I say someone is not telling the truth. You are the one saying she is leaving and you are betting the farm on it. If she is leaving, then you will know where she is going to play this year. Hammond was never going anywhere last year. At least not to Connor. Rumor was that Saylers dad was telling they were going to Connor, just like this rumor that she is going to Ohio. Attention, attention, attention. I have talked to several people in Pulaski County and they tell me that she is staying. OldBallCoach you need to really talk to your "source" on this. Something dont smell exactly right.

I have heard that as well. I have also heard that this next year there might be a house cleaning of both basketball coaches if things dont turn around.

That spells problems for teams in the 12th. All Wayne was lacking last year was a big girl. They are gonna be tough now. If Saylers transfers like oldballcoach says she is gonna, and Morrow is at Wayne my top 5 would be now: 1. Wayne County 2. Lincoln County 3. Rockcastle County 4. Casey County 5. Monticello

I was told by a very good source that she was still enrolled and that the move was not going to happen. If you are willing to bet the farm on it, what school is she going to enroll in?

I heard today on my route in Somerset that Saylers WAS NOT moving. Apparently the Dad was not offered the job he thought he was gonna get. This comes from a source close to the team.

Any news oldballcoach? This is big news in the 12th region. Enquiring minds in Stanford want to know.

The biggest problem with McCreary that I can see is that they need a coach. He freezes up in the big games. Sure he looks good when they beat teams like Monticello, but in the games that count he just is lost. I have heard all summer on the AAU route that if he does not get it done this year he is going to be looking for a job come this time next year.

Hopefully we will be at full strength when we play in the season. Lets see if your opinion changes then.

I say hire OH Napier for coach.

I don't know how you could say we have looked good and bad over the summer. I could have said the same about Southwestern. At least I did not get on here bragging about beating teams without their players.

After watching some good and some not so good summer ball here are my updated rankings: 1. Lincoln County 2. Casey County 3. Wayne County 4. Rockcastle County 5. Southwestern Lincoln has looked really good this summer as has Casey. Saw Wayne play twice and they are gonna be solid. Noble had Rock playing well, as they have 10 players that can play. Monticello from the four games I have saw are not as good as I first thought. Southwestern won the AAU State tourney, but it was against teams that did not have all their players, but thats still good enough to get them in the top 5.

oldballcoach dont you think its safe to say that Southwestern should be a top 5 team this year after winning the tourney?

Wow thats great. Congrats. Southwestern, Lincoln and Wayne all should be at the top of the region next year. Wayne picking up the 6' 3" big girl and the other transfer from Cumberland County should really help them. That district is gonna be a killer. Monticello is also very good.

I heard today that the girls coach from Wayne County is high on the list to succeed Coach Thacker.

I keep hearing that the rankings are gonna change alot between now and when the season starts. Somerset will have the Wayne County transfer eligible this year. I think she was a starter for Wayne for a year or so, so that should offset losing Jones( I think maybe she was better than Jones anyway). If you read this forum closely, its also rumored that Tim Rice is a leading contender for the Pike Central job. If so then what does that do to the chemistry of Southwestern? Wayne lost two seniors that started. What or who will they start? Monticello returns a solid group and should be much better this year. Boyle should be better this year after a season under their belt. Rockcastle lost Rowe but returns Saylor and Hammonds, so they will contend. Have also heard that the chemistry there is not good, though. Lincoln returns most of their group so as of now I have them solidly as the favorite. Mercer I also hear is having admin problems, so look for Souders to maybe look elsewhere for a job, which would hurt them. Summer ball is soon approaching and I am excited.

I have heard this as well. I also hear if Miller comes , Cable will be staying and Southwestern can look somewhere else.

I like the pun, hence my name, lol. I thought the Robert Jones to Monticello girls program was the best line. Word on the street last year that if Woods had wanted a certain job in the 13th , Spurlock would not have coached Clay this year.

The latest rumor is Coach Woods is coming to Lincoln Co to replace Jackson who is going to Boyle and COY Robert Jones is going to Monticello to be a assistant coach to Coach Kelch in the girls program. Thats the latest folks.
