  1. Cassity has coached several years for middle school in the past and assisted Merle for a couple of years. He is great with kids and is for sure a winner ! He rarely sits when coaching and he is in every single play with them. You will NEVER see him quit in a game or show any negetive emotions toward the kids no matter what the score is.
  2. I have said it before and I will say it again that Cassity is the right choice for the job.
  3. He wishes he had your hair, Don King:thumb:
  4. Honey, you are the epitomy of what good health is all about.
  5. I thought every Mr. Basketball was assured a spot on the Wildcat roster? He has already verbally committed and his stats were really good this past year according to Fastbreak.
  6. It was a joke, if I were going to make a prediction about Dodd I would have consulted with you first. Okay, here is my prediction...I dont think it will be in High School anywhere around here. Duck, what did you think about all of my other predictions?
  7. Evansville, Indiana as an Assistant Coach under the recommendation...
  8. There are several parents that coach their own...from the Marv Meredith League to the Russell / Flatwoods Baseball Little Leagues in Flatwoods. Every parent wants their own to shine but from my understanding Steve Skaggs is a standup kind of guy. The best thing Merle can do is to put his foot down on the Marv Meredith League...this is where it all starts! Parents that have/are coaching their own at Russell Marv Meredith Mike Sherman Dodd Skaggs Parsley Cassity I am sure the list is longer...who am I leaving out?
  9. My hair suggests Ginger but my looks suggests...
  10. If they are in the bottom 25 nationally, then I stand by my post...not a top ten team nationally. As for having sour grapes, I have none. Good luck to all of the kids. I will predict that if this team falls short of winning a State Championship then Hicks will have to bring in Dr. Phil to help manage the disappointment and heartache of career re-located parents.
  11. Russell has plenty to choose from within their own school.
  12. You may be right, it is hard to tell how good Vanderhoof would have been without the set backs due to injuries. She still is very good but you are right about Eagle as well.
  13. Has anyone heard how Vanderhoof is doing? The Lady Rams should be a tough team to beat in 2008-09 and Vanderhoof will probably be the best player in the region. Trimble has a done a wonderful job since taking over as coach.
  14. Like sands in the hour glass...Heres my prediction: Floyd stays at Raceland (Why would he leave?) Floyd played at Greenup but is loved so much by the Ram Alumni they will probably retire his jersey in orange. Fraley coaches his alma mater. His dream job comes true but then again Pitino thought Boston was too. Kidwell vs. Barnes, Kidwell wins out with his support system, Cassity coaches the Russell Girls after rule changes. Don Daniels coaches in another region, maybe another state? Barnes and Nobles take over at Rose Hill and in two years make back to back State appearances. These were my predictions way back when ...I posted these predictions because I kind of forgot about them, so here you have it.
  15. Hookshot, I also posted that Cassity would be the next girls coach along with some other predicitions. I guess you could say that I have a knack for being able to some way or another find someone to fit that job perfect.
  16. This would be fun. Ty Barnes coaching at RH. Chris Barnes coaching at Russell. That would make for some interesting family dinners. This won't happen of course, but since both names have been mentioned in a couple of threads I thought it would be neat to bring up.
  17. I ended my post with a question mark, meaning I was asking a question. I don't know what all is entailed with being an A.D. that is why I posed the question of "what else is an A.D. required to do?".
  18. I am wondering why there were only a couple of candidates. Was it posted state wide or just locally? You would think that with the tradition Russell had that there would be more applicants. Good luck to whomever gets it. :thumb:
  19. If Kidwell doesn't get the job and remains the girls head coach, I wonder how they (the girls) will react? Will they feel like second best knowing he really wants to be with the boys? This could be a sticky situation that could affect both programs if he gets the job or if he doesn't.
  20. I have heard that there may be 4 schools making changes next year due to various reasons. A good A.D. is vitale to any school's sports and morale. An A.D. could be full or part time, but it doesnt matter if the responsibilities are handled correctly. Other than scheduling, voting on regional and district issuses, what else is an A.D. required to do?
  21. I have heard that Boyd and another I will not mention at this time, but this is second hand. Just wondering.
