IF Elliott is fortunate enough to make it to Rupp along with the 15 other region representatives, they have a good shot at winning it. It won't be easy though. They'll likely have to beat Anderson Co in the first round, who was beating them at the half I believe and then forced OT with them. Second round they'll likely see Shelby Valley, who has already beaten them. Semi's, barring an upset, they'll see either Holmes or Scott Co, who in a lot of peoples' opinion, are the top two teams in the state. Then, IF they make it to the finals, they'd likely see another 7th region team. IF they can make it to the finals, I can see the cutting down the nets, as I really don't see anyone from the upper bracket beating them.. The one advantage I do see for EC is that they won't have to beat both Scott Co and Holmes to get to the finals.

I believe that's Cotton. He can definetly get up there.

I don't think anyone has ever said they'd be NBA lottery picks. People can't deny the fact though that Pittman is a very good HIGH SCHOOL player. What's the big deal with saying so? It's not like I'm the only one who has said he should be first team all state, so why is my post the only one quoted? Also, Rico and JJ have barely even been mentioned in this discussion and JJ not at all, atleast not by me, so why were those two even brought up? :idunno: The way people talk about Ferg and the Faulkners, you'd think they were going to be NBA lottery picks as well. Not only are they the best seniors in the state, but they're hands down the best scorers and shooters. I guess it's ok for a few to pump up their players, but not others...right? :notworthy: Sure hope we see a EC-Holmes match up at Rupp.

So you're saying when a kid is dunking 3 and 4 times a game over defenders, that doesn't show how dominant he is? Isn't that what made Shaq such a dominant household force? His ability to consistently get high percentage shots from dunking? Also nobody said it makes a team good...but it does show their ability to play above the rim, which makes them tough to rebound against. Just because certain schools don't have players dunking night in and night out like Holmes, doesn't mean someone should be bashed for showing a highlight from a game...especially the one from Pittman, which you rarely see at the high school level from your "average" ball player.

They might not have a choice though. A school can only become so big before the county has to do something. You can't continue to just add on to the old high school to make room for more students. Eventually, you're going to have to take that money and just invest in a new site and school. Whether the SC faithful and admin want to realize it and face it, eventually a change is going to occur.

And I imagine when that happens, you'll see Scott Co decline athletically, just like Boone Co and Conner did when Ryle was built and Ryle will with Cooper being built.

Both only have one side, with Holy Cross having extra seating on the bench side of the court, but those seats are reserved.

We'll see...only time will tell.

How do his stats not back up that he's first team? I'd love to hear the argument for that. Against top 25 competition he's averaging 19 ppg and 7 rpg.

Rice and Hill are both playing at Juco's and getting D1 looks for next year. Rice was a preseason all american and Hill, I believe, is leading his team in scoring right now. Yes, Henderson is at Cincy St, and doing very well.

The thing with NKY that some don't realize is Kenton Co is one of the biggest counties in the state, if I'm not mistaken. Not only is it one of the biggest counties in the state, but the majority of the county is city, which means more schools and people. Boone County is in the same boat. Eventually, with the rapid growth of Union, Burlington, and Hebron, you'll see another school built within the next 10-15 years which will lead to more schools being put in other regions to balance out the numbers. Scott being in the 10th region really makes no sense to me considering they're they're within a 10 mile radius of practically every school in the 9th, but I can understand teams like Campbell and Brossart being in the 10th. SK being in the 8th region also makes a lot of sense considering how far out they are. With NKY being so big and growing more rapidly than any other part of the state (besides maybe around lexington), you're going to continually see teams from the 9th put in other regions. Ryle could very well end up being the next school out of the 9th considering their location.

I sure have. I hate the computer polls. But I was just saying there must be some legitimacy to them if all 5 have the same team in the top 10. I believe the AP poll also has Boone in the top 10 for KY as well which is media voters and not computers.
