  1. How could the KHSAA let another Mercer happen? Your suppose to learn from your mistakes.
  2. When did the Rams start this year?
  3. Seth is still at St. X. Good luck to Seth, It's his senior year.
  4. Injurys killed the team last year from the start. If they can stay healthy they should have a good year. Lots of kids got playing time last year, and know what it takes to win now.
  5. Drew Abrams Russell. Drew had a very good jr. year. I dont know of anyone who has worked harder in the off season. Expect great things.
  6. The majority of these kids have played together since JFL. They've played on some very good teams . The one thing that makes them special is their hunger. They have been on teams that have done great things and now its their last chance to achive the ultimate goal.
  7. It's not all about the weights. Look at Russell's system of training.
  8. Arliss Beach was without a doubt one of the best runners in Tomcat history. The '90 team, with the backfield they had, was unstoppable and cannot be compared with any team that I have seen since then.
  9. As to your point I think Corbin would rank ahead of Russell considering the scope and history of the program. While Russell has a strong tradition and 2 titles, Corbin has won 3 KHSAA playoffs and appeared in the finals at other times. The Hounds are usually in the mix of their Region and area most years and the state some years. How many titles does Corbin have?
  10. Look: As for the line, everyone is worried about Hutchinson or Lions (a tackle returning from last year), Dillon at end and Mitchell and Rogers switching at end. Blevins is center. Miller is tackle. The line? No worries (the running game is there). QB? Well I'm good friends with his father and here are some things he has told me. As a starting QB, his record is 25-4 (given team effort). As a passer over the last 5 years: 70 to 80% every year. As a runner he ran an 11.2 second 100 meter as a freshman on thetrack team. Longest pass recorded through the air: 53 yards. So I'm thinking we have the talent to make it to the carpet. The question is: Will they pull together as a team, or try to be solo performers? Those who've watched the games over the past few years know that when Tyler came out, the offense never missed a beat when AJ was in there.
  11. This is the year.
  12. The way they played Russell last season they can play with the best.
  13. It's nice to see that people from other states are looking at KY football. It's a great stepping stone for someone with the drive and talent to prove themselves.
  14. This is the year. They are loaded on the line, both sides. A.J Cordle is the real deal. As anyone who follows the devils knows you have to wait your turn to start. These kids coming into there sr. season have paid there dues.
  15. The Tomcats were hit hard with injurys from the start. I don't think they ever overcame that. They never played well as a team the whole season. IMO I think they will come back strong. The talent is there if the coaches can put the pieces in the right places they should have a good season.
  16. I have'nt seen Seth Harvey play since he left Russell. Is he finally playing up to his size?
  17. Must agree Juan was the one that lead the Tomcats to the 90 state title.
  18. The Devils have a quality replacement at center in Nick Blevins. He has been at the position since his fresman year. He has been learning from some of the best , such as Ethan Gullett. He also is very good on the other side of the ball at nose. He's at 230 and a little over 6'0. I just hope they take care of the secondary on D.
