Greenup County is on the right track with attitude, discipline and support from all aspects the program needs to succeed, now all Coach Copley needs to do is win some ball games and he will be the first to tell you that fact and I look for that to happen sooner rather than later, just a hunch from an ol skool football player....

They beat Fairview and lost in OT to Russell, Boyd and Lewis.. So 1-3 but passing is not our game and the D is looking better and better each time out, right now they are thinking instead of reacting, once they start reacting in the new D, then watch out.. Overall, Coach Copley has told me he is impressed with our team and pleased with where we are and how well they are doing, especially the work ethic of the boys but he says we still got a long way to go, with us going to the Ville next week, that will really help us a lot...

Yes, Ethan Hardin and Zach Reed both came out this week. The boys go to Lewis County for 7 on 7 tonight and will play several teams from the area.

The boys tied Johnson Central tonight in 7 on 7...

GCHS has 7 on 7 Tuesday at Fairview... The boys are hitting the weights hard, they have two time frames, 10 - 12 or 5 - 7, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, they have to be at one of the time frames.

We are going to get it done, promise you that... It had been 30+ years before we did anything to the football field, I think you will see GCHS athletic's pick up in all areas in the very near future.

Coach Champlin told me today that we may surprise some folks during 7 on 7... Interesting...

Very true doc... GCHS has made some amazing improvements in the past year in all areas of the athletic area. I can't wait for this fall to see the impact our new coaching staff is making on our young men. I just pray for them all to stay healthy and for the ones that are injured to get healthy and stay healthy. We have some serious talent and are getting stronger..

Wait until you see the field, field house and new bleachers when it is finished. GCHS football is on the rise folks...
