Coach Copley and his coaching staff are an excellent bunch of young talented coaches and they will get these kids and this program where GCHS wants it to be, tough game, Ashland was by far a better team, very good, one of the best Ashland teams starting out I have seen in 20 years of officiating football (2 years from the stands, lol), these boys just need to learn from this shake it off, hold their heads up and go out next week and give Russell all they can handle and bring home a W!!!:thumb:

Coach Copley is putting a well disciplined, in-shape, hard hitting, confident team with a lil swagger on the field tomorrow night. We have a really good chance at having a special season.. I am very proud of my son and the rest of our team.

Proud of the boys for coming together, Coach Copley has done a great job getting them ready, very disciplined, in shape, mean and tough team he will have on the field Friday night.

This one will be tight, knowing both teams from the perspective that I do, Greenup is going to have to play an outstanding game and not making any mistakes, they do this and it goes down to the wire and they get a win....

Got the word yesterday that the lights will be installed by the first game, the field house will be in the progress of being built, the bleachers are going to get done after the season. The field has an excellent crown on it, sprinkler systems are working now and the grass in the middle of the field (where all of our work will be done) is getting thicker as we speak. Very nice job done on the field. GCHS administration and school board is doing some great things for the program and we most certainly appreciate it. The Touchdown Club under Grub's leadership is doing some great things too. Truly awesome.

Ram, best thing GCHS football has done in quite sometime. The boys are getting in some great work, last day is today and last meal is this evening and they are having a good one. My son said two things to me yesterday during the 4 hours I was there, Dad I need some money and Dad I think this is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, lol... They will be in shape for games this year, Coach Copley and his staff are making sure of that and are doing one heck of a job with the kids.

It is Very exciting to see all the support, excitement and improvement in such a relatively short period of time. We in Greenup County are going to be able to say we have 3 Class programs, Russell and Raceland are already there and GCHS is well on its way, all we need our boys and coaches to do is keep building a solid disciplined program and then win ball games.:thumb:

Well, we lost one due to grades this summer...
