Per khsaa. Was back to back nights against top ten competition to much for Ballard?

Northern Kentucky Coaches Poll (Week 3)
That's bad news for 10th region as 11 is stronger than 9.

Ballard 3 Covington Catholic 0
I was told Manuel is better than Ballard. The 7th region is brutal this year

Northern Kentucky Coaches Poll (Week 3)
Campbell cty should make it thru the region since Montgomery County is down this year. Pendleton seems to be better than expected so that could be a tough matchup. I believe 9 plays 10 this year in sweet 16 that might be a problem for the camels.

Northern Kentucky Coaches Poll (Week 3)
Not sure if Pendleton county is eligible for the poll, but if they are they should be ranked with a 4-1 win over Cooper

Updated Maher Rankings 8/27
It takes two teams to agree to schedule. Most contracts require a home and home and some teams do not want to pay for travel. Many times I hear coaches who try to schedule out of the area teams but there is no interest. JR has an easier time of scheduling games against the better schools because of his club ties and relationships built over the years. I have also heard that Ohio teams don't like the short JV game as Ohio plays a 37 minute jv game thus losing 14 minutes of game time. I agree that giving the players breaks during the season and before the state tournament is a good strategy.

Boone County 3 Bourbon County 3
AR had offsides on that direct kick. Defenders hold a line usually the 18 and attackers cannot pass that line until the ball is kicked. It was a really nice finish but it appeared she was in a little early. Noticed the Thomas More coach in attendance and there was some real quality players in the game.

St Henry 6 Holy Cross 0
He is very good and kicks the ball a mile.
-
Anderson 3 Ryle 0
Anderson dominated from the opening whistle and were helped by an own goal. They were very strong in the back so the goalie was not tested (mentioned in prediction thread as a possible weak link). Very organized and good skills.

Newport Catholic 3 Beechwood 2
Schultz had the game winner from 25 yards

Newport Catholic 3 Beechwood 2
Beechwood has 2 players up front that finish very well.

Northern Kentucky Coaches Poll (Week 1)
Grant and Calvary are both much improved but depth might be a problem. Who would have thought it Grant, Calvary, and Beechwood ahead of Brossart, Boone,HC, and Scott
-
Covington Catholic 10 Scott 0
I thought club soccer was going to make all these schools better but it seems quite the opposite. Scott, Brossart, Boone have all taken a step back.

Yes they were in the state finals 2 years ago and the final four 6 years ago.
