Conner did not have a big turn out at try outs. Yes they will bring up some JV kids if they are needed.

Last I have heard Shuttleworth will be back for the Cougars in 4-5 weeks even though I think that is way to early for an injury like that. Hope he is doing OK.

Conner's bats fell asleep late in the game it looked like the team was satisfied with 3 runs. The defense looked pretty good, still a bit rusty for the Cougars but it's early I expect these boys to forget about this game and bounce back big against Lloyd on Thursday. In a positive note Conner's pitching looked really well I'm sure West surprised alot of people. The pitcher that came in the game in relief looked very good too for his first varsity appearance.

From what I have heard Shuttleworth is injured. He pulled or tore his hamstring. So I don't think he pitched for Conner against Dunbar. I would say that Samad threw for the Cougars since he is their number two but I could be wrong.

Im just curious but Shuttleworth from Conner signed with Navy isn't that D1? Why is his name not on the list?

I would like to see how Simpson can handle the wet ground and cold temps. I think Conner holds him to under 100yds rushing.

This will be a good game for the Cougars to sharpen up all thier tools before playoffs start. As long as the Cougars jump out early and score quick they should roll all over the Bulldogs. I agree. Having one of the best records in the state after losing players like Farris, Ducet, and Bogle. Very impressive. In that case I would also like to nominate Conner's head coach Dave Trosper. After having a 1-9 season last year and graduating 9 starting defensive players he has turned the program around. If not for losing close games to Boone and NCC their record would be much better

I think that in the first round Boone will hit Etschied pretty hard and come out on top, but it all comes down to who pitches for Boone in this one.. Does anyone no where Boone's center fielder, Cotton, was in the Conner-Boone game the other night
