I think HC had 3 hits, two by Egan. Roenker reached on an error to win the game for HC. Stewart started the game for the Indians and gave up 0 earned runs and pitched three innings. Minks pitched 1 inning, giving up 1 earned run. Ritter came in in the fifth inning and got the win for the Cross; giving up only one hit and 0 earned runs.

Big win for the tribe tonight to battle back. Once this team gets the bats going they will be very tough to beat. West for Conner looked sharp on the mound tonight.

Ritter pitched the final 4 innings?

Still got to believe that Conner is one of the better hitting teams in NKY, so this speaks well for HC's pitching staff.

That bodes well for Conner, as I would guess he probably wasn't considered in the top 3 of their staff going into the season.

Conner's bats fell asleep late in the game it looked like the team was satisfied with 3 runs. The defense looked pretty good, still a bit rusty for the Cougars but it's early I expect these boys to forget about this game and bounce back big against Lloyd on Thursday.

In a positive note Conner's pitching looked really well I'm sure West surprised alot of people. The pitcher that came in the game in relief looked very good too for his first varsity appearance.

Yes, he came in in a tight spot with a man on third and got a 6-3-2 DP that really lifted the spirits of the Tribe. After that, he pitched extremely well giving up 0 ER and only one hit. The overall pitching of the Indians really impressed me last night; look for them to make some noise this year if they can start coming around on their hitting!

I could say the same for HC, they really need to get the bats going as well, only three hits. That's not taking aynthing away from West, he pitched very well and mixes his pitches a lot. It's still early and IMO both teams hitting will come around.

Good win for HC, Conner looks like they are going to do well also this year.

Neither team hit well in this one, but at the end of the day poor defense IMO lost this this game. Conner had two different opportunities on ground balls to get out of trouble and couldn't seal the deal! Conner's pitching threw well enough to win this tight game, but the defense let them down!
