Congrats to the Royals and good luck at Rupp.

We are so proud of these boys. They have come so far since losing their first seven games of the year. I wish Chris Thompson had another year with us it has been such a pleasure watching him play this year. With this run in the post season I would have to think Joe Hampton would be a lock for coach of the year.

Congrats to Elliott County on the win. You guys are awesome, and we will be rooting for you to win the State championship next week. Congrats to Ferg becoming the all time leading scorer in 16 Region Tournament history.

If they were (and I'm not saying they were) but maybe just maybe it could have something to do with Ashland refusing to reschedule their game that was snowed out.:sssh:

My only prediction is that Lewis County will have left everything they have on that floor when the final horn has sounded. Win or loose be very proud of what you have accomplished and there are 14 other teams watching you play for the chance to go to Rupp.

:thumb: I agree 100%. He was doing as he always does by taking a few starters out at a time and the Tomcats fouled C. Knipp hard on the baseline and didn't offer to help him up, I knew at that moment that Ethan and Ferg were coming back in, and I don't blame Coach Mays one bit.

Wow, what a win for the Lions. I knew going into this game that it would be a war. I thought Lewis had the better team and I knew they had the better coach and they just had to execute the game plan and they did just that. We knew Bath would lay back in a 2-3 zone and try to contain Thompson and Riley and they played right into our hand. I would take Joe Hampton anytime coaching against Jim Hicks. We are so lucky he changed his mind about taking the Greenup County job several years ago and stayed with the Lions. Good luck in the championship game you never know what can happen.

I would sure think a so called top 5 team in the state could score more than 41 and 47 points against Ryle and NCC.

I'm not counting him out. I figured he would dress and only play in an emegency situation, but someone close to the situation said he wasn't playing.

Holmes has only scored 88 points total in the last two games, can't see them scoring 31 points in one quarter.

You are probably right about his height, but he has some hops and like you said he is a brute across the shoulders and he is a very good player.

No, Thompson is about 6'7" and Metz is about 6'0". Thompson will probably be on Trusty.

FWIW Chris Thompson will be by far the best player on the floor. Win or loose it has been a real pleasure following this Lion team this year, good luck tonight.
