Officials have nothing to do with this! If grown men can’t act like grown men and control their players, that they are suppose to be leading by example, that’s on them. What in the world would an official have to do with a Lloyd assistant AFTER the game shoving a head coach!?!? 🙄

Trust me his Dad playing at Kentucky has a lot to do with recruitment and offers received. Wish him the best where ever he goes and that he thrives at the D1 level.

I’m always curious about the statement “refs lost control”. Intentional fouls are not ejection worthy unless it’s flagrant which not being there could have very well been the case or not. Does the loss of control not fall on the coaches and players at some point? 56 fouls and 76 FT’s!?! What do you want an official to do to “keep control”. If they don’t want “play” basketball all a ref can do is call what they see.

I wish they would modify the review process somehow, I agree that it takes to long. I will say on some calls it only becomes obvious after 4 different angles of extreme slow motion review. Officials are part of the game, live and die with what’s called on the floor. Maybe take the tennis example where players are allowed a certain amount of challenges during the game. Let coaches have 4 challenges per game they can ask for? :idunno:

d Alternate is “ on the floor” as an official. He did not “know it” ...why people think these officials care who wins or loses is beyond me....
