Hopson is the MOST LAZY player in High School Basketball!!!! He is a great talent, there is no doubt about that but could be so much better with a little effort. :irked: Most players wished they had half the talent!!!!!

Were not talking about shooting free throws here. It's about not making calls on one end of the floor and making them on the other. Hand checking on one end is hand checking on the other end. I am the first one that hates to complain about officiating once being one myself but this was just a bad game by the officials. I know that Walton will get into foul trouble because they go for steals and press but 5 team fouls for a game:confused:. It was not like all they did was just stand outside and play horse.

Should be easy for South Laurel because Whitley Co. will not get any calls at South Laurel.

What a game! I have involved with high school basketball for 20 + years and this was the worst officiating crew that I have ever seen! I don't like to say that the officiating crews decide a game but here they did. South Laurel has a total of 5 teams fouls for the entire game. If the game is played on a nuetral floor Walton wins. There was no way that they were going to let Coach Wright loose to his old school. He is good but not that good. GC will have their first challenge this week against SK. Well see how good they really are. I hope they get a win because I always root for the little guy. I think that we will see what they are a good class A school. Not the best in the state but the best in the 8th for now.

Is there discount tickets for students? That is crazy. I paid 30 to see Lebron James play is high school once. It was worth it but neither one of these teams has that type player. I feel sorry for people who like to go and watch high school games. Probably won't be very crowded.:irked:

I will be cheering for the Bearcats. They will have to play very well in order to win. Handle pressure, Defend well, Get rebounds. They will have their hands full with St. John. May be one of the best big men that they will see all year. Walton plays defense hard and playing down at SL may be a benefit because they will let them get by with some fouls that are normally called in the 8th and 9th region games. SL gets the win by10. (home floor and some home cooking with the refs). Weakside, I am pretty sure that this is the first game that Coach Wright has coached against Walton since he left. I am sure that he will have his guys fired up and ready to play also. After 2 losses (butt whippins') they will come out fired up:fire:

Walton goes down to the South Laurel tournament and what do you know, they play South the first game. Seems a little funny if you ask me!!:ylsuper:

That is why he had 20pts and 10 + boards agianst Boone. :confused: He does play out of position but that also makes someone on the other team play out of position. He needs to learn how to take advantage of that when it happens. :thumb:

SK by 13. Coach Steiner will not overlook Gallatin. Coach Jones will have his guys ready to play but look for the SK pressure to get the best of the Gallatin guards. IF GC takes care of the ball this game could be closer and of course they get some of those mysterious calls that they always get at Gallatin. :thumb:

Walton will win by 11. Close game with free throws deciding the margin. People will be surprised by some new face at W-town with 2 transfers and a kid that has not played since the 8th or 9th grade. I won't be able to make it but hope that the Cats can come away with a VICTORY!! Play hard guys and leave everything on the floor!:thumb:
