Yes, this was the final. Wow, Boone is playing some good ball. Three nice wins against quality downstate opponents. I know Adair has the 6'8 Ballou kid who can knock down the 3 and post up inside. South Laurel has St. John who is a stud down low and the Corbin has Crawford. Each team could be a team you see in the State Tourney in March.

No, Crawford won't be back til a week or two after the new year from what I hear.

Just cant make the free throws....that was the difference! Great game! Looking forward to seeing Big Crawford after Christmas! Go Hounds! Congrats to Boone!

Congrats to Boone County on a nice tournament. I also heard that they supported their fellow No. Ky team (Walton-Verona) as well. Boone had some really good wins against some quality opponents that will help then when it comes tournament time.

Crawford is still not playing.

Good win for the Rebels. I was impressed with the McFarland Kid. I thought he was the difference maker for Boone. Redhounds played hard, but not their best effort, IMO.

Corbin was 15-27 from the line. Boone County was 18-21. It was a great game.

It sounded like free throws were the difference, in the 4th Corbin missed theirs for the most part and Boone Co.was something like 12 for 12. To win these type of games you have to hit these thats why they are called FREE. Four games in four days is tough on all the teams. Hard to believe the beating South put on North to win 3rd place.

Great observation Breeze. The little things add up to be big things most of the time when two teams are very equal in most areas. Boone has a nice team. Not sure how they stack up with Cov Cath, Holmes, etc. They would certainly be near the top of the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th regions.

Yeah free throws were the bigget difference. Boone County also played excellend defence. Boone missed their first FT of the fourth and then knocked down 12 in a row. Boone has a really good team. I look for them to continue to make noise this year.
