With all of the storms in the area, last night, I can only assume it was either cancelled or postponed. I am surprised at how many games were completed given the severity of the weather. I was having dinner in Seminole just up the street from the Countryside/Seminole game. We were still getting nearby lightning strikes at 9 pm. The local radar showed no letup for hours. I managed to get out to my car and the water was above the bottom of the vehicle, close to the door. The rain was still blowing in and coming down hard. I'm lucky the old HHR started, mush less able to back out of the lake it was in.

The 2022 season started in Florida last night. The teams I follow changed slightly with my grandson transferring to Clearwater and the complete restructure of the entire Florida classification system by the FHSAA. Basically Florida has 4 categories (Metro, Suburban, Rural, and Independent) with 4 or 5 classifications in each category. Clearwater is in Class 2M Region 2 District 7 with Berkley Prep, Dunedin, and Calvary Christian. The classifications are laid out here. The Avs won Game 6 2-1 in Tampa to win the Cup. Way too much offense and too little defense in front of Vassy. The Avs were a tremendous team this year. As for the Bolts, there is no need for them to hang their heads. They went to 3 straight finals. No team has come this close to threepeating since the 1983-84 New York Islanders lost in the finals after winning the previous 4, 38 years ago. Since that time, no franchise has made it past the second round after winning back to back titles. The Edmonton Oilers won in the cup in 84 and 85, then lost in the second round to Vancouver in 86. The Oilers again repeated in 87 and 88, then lost in the first round in 89 to the LA Kings. Pittsburgh went back-to-back in 91 and 92, but were taken out in the 2nd round by the Islanders in 93. Detroit repeated in 97 and 98. The Avs took them out in the 2nd round in 99. The last team to repeat before the 2020-21 Lightning were the Penguins again in 2016 and 17. They lost in the 2018 playoffs in the second round to the Capitals. The off season should be interesting.

I've lived in Florida for the last 40+ years and Florida is more like a melting pot than a southern state, especially around the metropolitan areas. Funny how these things work. Though born in Kentucky, I spent most of my early youth on Army bases all over the world. Dad retired and we moved to settled in Kentucky, where Dad was born, in 1968. I was 10. I left Whitley County when I graduated high school and the state for good in 1979. I lived in Indiana and Wisconsin before ending up here in Tampa Bay.

I clean the mask, cushions, and tube with plain dishwashing detergent, Palmolive, scrubbing the passages with a tooth brush. I then soak them all in a 1/3 vineger, 2/3 water solution for 30 minutes or so. I also change out the cushion every night. My doctor also told me to avoid the UV cleaners.

FWIW, I have never used the humidifier.
