  1. I always keep one of my monitors on this video feed. I find it immensely fascinating. It has been going off pretty often today. At the time of this post, it was dormant looking. However, 5 minutes prior it was spewing up a few hundred feet and pouring lava.
  2. ORLANDO, Fla. - The largest-free standing White Castle in the world will soon open in Orlando and FOX 35 got an inside look at the restaurant on Tuesday. White Castle will open its highly anticipated Orlando location on May 3, 2021. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m., when doors officially open to guests. They will stay open until 1 a.m. but anticipate that they will be serving the line until about 4 a.m. "The Orlando Castle will be open for take-out, dine-in, and drive-through service from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. on grand opening day, then reopen on Tuesday with regular operating hours, 9 a.m. to 1 a.m., seven days per week. At some point in the future, White Castle will operate 24 hours per day," the company previously said. https://www.fox13news.com/news/watch-fox-35-tours-white-castles-upcoming-orlando-location?utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR0NaAYIqNYOULp09hcIA8hyfWYIwLvmesuAnJGxFp-IsUI3Ui4q0ce1ZV0
  3. Oddly enough, when you are checked into the hospital, they ask whether you have had the virus or not, but not whether you've had the vaccine. They do ask if you have had the flu shot.
  4. * The Florida Turnpike exit at Yeehaw Junction is the southern end of the longest stretch of limited-access highway without an exit in the United States (the next interchange to the north being 48.9 miles away at Kissimmee/St. Cloud) and the northern end of the second-longest such stretch (the next exit to the south being 40.5 miles away at Fort Pierce).
  5. The last school that I went to, only with a change in major to pre-med. Then I'd complete medial school at the same school. What has become one of the better medical schools in the country combined with all the extras @Kentucky Windage wants in a school.
  6. I dropped it when it hit $74 a month (with sports package) and they quit showing the Fox Sports channels. I already had Showtime, BritBox, Acorn, Hulu basic (not Hulu TV), and Friendly TV mostly for Mrs. S, who hardly watched YoutubeTV at all. I only watched YoutubeTV for sports, so I was chucking chucking out $100 a month for TV that, for the most part, wasn't being used. I added CBS All Access so she gets all the TV Shows she wants, and I'm only out $47 a month. (I have Amazon Prime for my business and I'd have it regardless of TV offerings, so the cost of that is not part of the equation.) I have an antenna if I need to see local channels, which is never. I simply do not watch television shows anymore. They bores me to tears, for the most part. I prefer to read a good book. I have NHL TV so I can watch the Lightning (think VPN), but I don't watch live college or pro sports much anymore. I can catch most high school sports and can get highlights of most college games I care about on YouTube proper (I still have USF season tickets for football, but I'm not sure how much longer I will do that, either.) If I really want to watch a sporting event, I have 100 sports bars I can go to and share a meal with friends and family while watching. Priorities change as you get older, I guess.
  7. Thursday at 2 PM. Pfizer. Second dose April 8 at 2 PM. About 3 miles from where I work. My understanding is that it's an insurance issue for them. If I get it, spend an inordinate amount of time in the hospital, and/or die. Their rates go up.
  8. Mrs. S has had both of her shots. Until this morning, I did not qualify by age. My primary employer informed me that now that I qualify I have to get one.
  9. For the most part, every where I go people are wearing masks. I continue to wear one indoors and outdoors in large crowds. I have never and will never require people to wear one around me. However, many people at work, and in my side business, put one on when I have to work directly with them.
  10. Compared to Summa Theologica, The Stand is a pamphlet.
  11. For what it is worth, the vehicle was a Genesis SUV. It was a Genesis event he was hosting over the weekend, so that makes sense.
  12. Because I am basically a sick individual, Mrs. S and I listened to this as we waited in the "drive through" line for her to get her first vaccination shot last Sunday morning.
  13. Three time Pro Bowler, Vincent Jackson, a former Buc and Charger WR, was found dead in a hotel room in Brandon, FL where he had been living since January 11th. He and his family resided in South Tampa, where many former and current Buccaneers live. Brandon is about 18 miles east of South Tampa. His family had reported him missing on January 10th and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department found him in the hotel on the 12th. After assessing his well being, the missing person's report was cancelled. He was found today, with no signs of trauma. The investigation is still underway. https://www.wfla.com/news/local-news/former-bucs-player-vincent-jackson-found-dead-in-brandon-hotel-room/?fbclid=IwAR0291-OmAzXKV2mbl97qTZJ4_JIFc16hHM_Jyuc27nDCm1zNw-LCZA_8FI
