  1. Beechwood 56 Holy Cross 10 With Teipel playing well, showing speed and determination, combined with Elliott at 100%, Holy Cross will have to play the game of there lives with absolutely no mistakes whatsoever. Which I doubt will happen. Beechwood is pumped up and will roll over Holy Cross with ease IF they come out and have a good first quarter.
  2. I have to completely disagree with you on this. Pburg did not stop the run at all against Beechwood. Teipel for Beechwood probably had over 150 yards and 2 TD's. All running the ball. The reason why Pburg lost the game was because they couldn't stop the run. Beechwood's O-Line in the 1st , 3rd, and 4th quarter blew the Pburg line five yards off the ball. Yes, the score was 24-21; this was because of a deep pass for a touchdown in blown coverage. This game was close at a certain point but Beechwood was in control from the get go. Not once during the entire game was I woried that Beechwood would lose. In the first quarter Pburg's players were already winded and bending over and puking on the field. Beechwood was the much better team and showed it in the second half. Both teams played with class and both teams will do well in the rest of their seasons. Good Luck!!!
  3. Yes, Elliott played, through a 70 yard TD and 1 interception that can be debated if it was caught of not.
  4. Good game, felt like tigers were in control the whole time.
  5. Our team has 4 starters that probably won't play Saturday or if they do, they certainly won't be anywhere close to 100%. 1. Quarterback 2. 2 Running Backs 3. 1 Tackle But, let me say this, we are pretty deep in talent and guts, so even with the walking wounded, we still might be able to pull it out. It all depends on what level of football they have in that area. "It is What it is" and time will tell. Go Red !!!!
  6. Why are we still talking about this? This thread needs to be closed.
  7. Long way to go for the Tigers. Does anyone know much about Prestonsburg?
  8. True, everyone does have a bad game, but Beechwood made Dayton look like they were just learning how to play football. There is no comparison between Beechwood and Dayton. As for LCA, they are pretty good. I have seen them play and they have size and speed.
  9. Beechwood got robbed. Those refs need to be fired. Beechwood's Cody Elliott was four feet in the endzone. The back ref called it a touchdown but the side judges ignored him. Then the refs didn't get the ball set until 15 seconds had ran off the clock. This game was not won by Cov Cath. It should have been a tie and gone to OT. Worst reffing I have ever seen. Beechwood, you did not lose this one, don't let it get you down!!!!!!
  10. Lloyd comes out pumped up, ready to win another one. Lloyd 35 Dayton 24
  11. LCA kicker is the best kicker in the state in my opinion. I saw him play against Lloyd and on the kickoff the ball bounced off the goal post. And by the way, he was kicking into the wind. Definite D1 scholarship (full ride) I would think.
  12. Yea, I think Buckley's out for the season.....
  13. I understand that the kids that are playing want to do the best they can and have fun, but at some point you half to draw the line I would think, and just keep running the ball up the middle or something.
  14. Sorry, I wasn't addressing you. Just everyone else that was talking about something else.
  15. First game under the lights for Covington Catholic at home. Hows this one going to go down?
  16. Stop talking about other teams, this thread is for Beechwood vs. Ludlow. Let's get back to the original topic. This game was no surprise, but Ludlow played hard. I think the touchdown they scored in the first quarter woke up Beechwood and they realized they needed to step up. Then they ran away with it.
  17. Sorry to hear that. Hope recovery goes well he can play basketball.
  18. Bishop Brossart just doesn't have the talent yet to compete with many teams. It will come in the next 5-10 years. As for this season, each game might last a long time for them. Good Luck the rest of the season BB. Bellevue 56 Bishop Brossart 0
  19. Probably NCC or Danville. I remember last year in 1A, everyone thought that Bardstown was going to plow over any apponent, then they got beat bad in the playoffs. Sometimes teams look good on paper, but they just have a really easy schedule.
  20. I think Lloyd is tired of losing and tired of a coach that they cant count on. I am calling them coming out fired up and playing well. Lloyd 28 Newport 17
  21. I have seen LCA play and they are very talented. I dont know much about Raceland, but they will have to play very well to win. Good luck to both teams. LCA 42 Raceland 31
