How many teams in that district? Im asking if it is a 4 team district because the first round games could be very ugly and I would hate to see Bracken's kids to have to go through something like this again.

Absolutely! ONCE the TE is obviously running a route, he is off limits, but a lot happens in those few seconds! I think we are on the same page, its just coaching that differs. Are you an offensive guy or a defensive guy?

I disagree. The wide out you described would never be legal, but the TE could be. You have to treat that TE as a different animal. What is the LB's recourse on a running play? Does he stand there and wait to determine if its pass or run?

You are correct. It happens without penalty and its being taught by more than one teams DC. But the question is, if its play action, how do you determine that you are not being blocked. I mean, goodness, the offense gets all the advantage anyway! (Watch the offensive people go nuts!!)

How do you know that "TE crossing the middle" isnt going to block a LB if its a play action. We can argue this from now till judgement day and its still going to be a ref's interpretation.
