  1. Good Lord willing I'll be there. I would offer to buy you a beer but rumor has it the Chinese restaurant quit serving (only play in burg that was). Always Corbin on your drive down though.
  2. Williamsburg beats Hazard worse if the weather is different. Williamsburg's passing game was hampered by the wet field and ball. Hazard is a ground and pound team so I don't feel they would've done any more than they did in the rain.
  3. Glad to see it's Raceland's first region as well, someone new is going to the big stage in 2 weeks.
  4. On a dry field Williamsburg would've won this game by 30.
  5. Williamsburg, home field will be the difference.
  6. Williamsburg should win this one by 10-14. I know comparing scores is dangerous but each of the common opponents, Williamsburg seemed to handle a lot better than Pikeville did. Also, Williamsburg should have won the game last year, they just couldn't quit turning the ball over. If they take care of the ball they win this game.
  7. Too bad it's not at Somerset Middlesboro's field is a joke, needs to be put out of commission. The entire experience there is horrible, from trying to park to trying to get out as you leave.
  8. Somerset games still on 102.3? May have to tune in, we use to be able to pick that up from our house.
  9. Sounds like the Corbin that played Bell County showed up instead of the Corbin that played Wayne the first time.
  10. Any idea what weather conditions are?
  11. Gutsy call when your defense has held Somerset to 10 points, looks like you'd want to pin Somerset as deep as you could. Is it rainy in Somerset tonight? Just curious since a field goal would tie it and they just missed one.
  12. Hope Bell can find a way to pull it out. Either way this score has me about convinced that Wayne County will roll next week.
  13. Williamsburg up 35-0 around 11 minutes to go.
  14. No way Dudley goes to Whitley, I could see him returning to high school but not at Whitley.
  15. Burg will win I would imagine. But what I find interesting here is that they will likely meet again in the second round of the playoffs and if you count the pre season scrimmage they will have played 3 times this season.
  16. Williamsburg's line will have to be a lot better than they've been to beat Wayne. Williamsburg has the skill players but the line play has to improve a lot if they want to make a deep run in the playoffs.
  17. Did Southwestern play a lot better or did Knox play that bad tonight? I thought Knox would run over southwestern.
  18. Jellico and Clinton County may be Lynn Camp's only chances for a win after seeing them last night.
  19. I'd flip Williamsburg and Bell but otherwise agree.
  20. Corbin is playing an incredibly tough schedule this year, I'd love to see them play Williamsburg and Whitley though. You'd draw a huge gate and get just as good of competition.
  21. He's not saying it never works when you punt and kickoff, he's just saying odds are just as good it will work out for you if you don't do it.
  22. Bell 35 Central 20. Central will score late to keep it that close. People have been overrating Central all year. The scores against Larue and Wayne prove it, then tack on a really long bus ride and it's game over for Central.
  23. So many things play a factor here to determine what's going on. Where was the first game played, where will the playoff game be played, was one team starting a lot of younger kids when the first game was played that have now had a couple of months to mature and get use to the high school game? If the teams are evenly matched or one team was really young and has grown well since the first meeting, I think it's hard to beat a team twice in one year. However, if Team A won the first game comfortably then Team A will likely still win the playoff game comfortably.
  24. I can definitely see his point on why it's pointless. However, each game and team is different. You have to judge the defense you have each year and against each opponent before making the decision. I do think it's entirely possible that some games you say ok we aren't going to punt and some games we are.
