It seems to me that both teams have advantages meeting again as opposed to playing someone from another Region.

In the Boyle-LexCath rivalry. The history is the regular season winner wins the playoff.

 

One advantaged gained is home field.

Frankfort vs. Beechwood. Yawn. First time Frankfort plays at Beechwood since this "rival" playoff matchup has begun. Doesn't look good for Frankfort since they're not playing at home.

So many things play a factor here to determine what's going on. Where was the first game played, where will the playoff game be played, was one team starting a lot of younger kids when the first game was played that have now had a couple of months to mature and get use to the high school game? If the teams are evenly matched or one team was really young and has grown well since the first meeting, I think it's hard to beat a team twice in one year. However, if Team A won the first game comfortably then Team A will likely still win the playoff game comfortably.

To answer your question, yes, Cooper is the better team than Conner. Can they beat Franklin Co.? I don't feel overly confident.

So Monroe County give South Warren a good thrashing at South Warren 41-0 in eighth game of the season. South went on to beat Ft Campbell at the Fort in second round....so does the story play out the same way as the first meeting or is it a match up difference?
