  1. Grateful for the W but the turnovers and dumb penalties will need to get cleaned up quick or there will be heck to pay the next couple of weeks. So far the Cards have been their own worst enemy.
  2. I have always credited Hatchell with being the guy that transformed the Cardinals offense away from the 3 yards and a cloud of dust to what it is today. In 2009, the Cards were down big to a reigning 2 or 3 time TN state Champion Trousdale County, TN. with no answers to keeping up with their high powered offense when Morris, with nothing to lose, turned the young Hatchell loose and the Cards came back and shocked the TN. boys. From that moment on the Cards offense has never been the same. I will greatly miss Coach Dew, a good friend, but feel this was a obvious choice with Coach Dew's departure. Coach Hatchell has routinely been one of the most innovative offensive minds I have been around at the high school level and the stats speak volumes to this.
  3. Grats to LCA, certainly vastly superior to my Cards. Good luck next week.
  4. Just watched LCA on tv and man that LCA QB has some wheels!
  5. I’ve said it all year, despite our local pollsters lack of confidence in us, This is a Mayfield team that’s going to be a very very very, yes, I use very three times, dangerous and hard out. This Mayfield team could very well be another Cardinal state champion on the flipside Lexington is as good or dangerous a team as we’ will face. I like my cards, but I do wear their sunglasses so we’ll see but this is a very good Mayfield team.
  6. Mayfield was tied with Male and passed them last night becoming the states all time wins leader. I hope this bye by FT Knox counts as a forfeit. The Cards are 2 games behind nationally at being 2nd all time nationally. I want that Knox win!
  7. Good job Redbirds!
  8. This is not unique to Beechwood.
  9. This will be a very hard to beat Cards team in the playoffs or is Western KY football that bad this year and the Cards are only average. I think a case can be made for both.
  10. This flock of birds is a real and present danger this year!
  11. The Cards will be a tough out in the playoffs. You can't tell much from the Todd and Crittenden Counties of the world but I suspect this is a serious contender this year.
  12. This one was a heck of a battle, congrats to the Cards on pulling it out!
  13. I do not recall Wade from last year, its like he came from out of nowhere. What a showing by him, he dominated early and often. How did he not start last year? He was one of the best I've seen in a while. Congrats PT!
