The Christian County TIGERS make their first visit to War Memorial Stadium in their first road game of the new season. The Tigers are 0-1 after a loss to Cooper last week, but it was a close game all of the way with the Colonels, oops I mean Tigers, losing by seven.

Mayfield enters this game at 1-0 after getting a hard fought victory over cross town rival Graves County 31-15. It is hard to draw too many conclusions from that game as the officials weighed in on almost every play making the teams look like they were playing in quicksand.

I am not sure what kind of passing game the Tigers have, but the Cardinals struggled with adequate coverage on the deep routes for sure. Can the Tigers come in and notch their first victory ever, and do it at War Memorial? Tell us what you think.

For Christian County to have any chance at War Memorial next Friday they have to clean up the 2 things that cost them the game last night. Penalties (11-106) and turnovers (3).

You don’t go in to mayfield and win very often, but you darn sure won’t go in there and win with penalties and turnovers.

The game Friday all depends on if the Tigers can contain England in the backfield. If they can slow him down, they might be able to keep it close.

Any word on Mayfield’s starting QB? He left due to injury in the Graves game and I don’t believe he returned to the game. He’s definitely a key player for the Cardinals.

He was cramping from OVER hydration. He will be ready to go on Friday night is what I was told.

Thanks, I was just coming here to post the score.

And this is an overarching comment but things are really starting to clear up for us in Kentucky this year.

Touchdown Mayfield! Bark Bark, lol.
