How was it?

 

I thought it was good, not because it bashed Palin, I thought it made her look a bit like a victim of circumstances. She comes off as very smart, but not well read. I had to turn away a few time because of the impending car wreck.

I watched. To me this seems like a campaign managers attempt to place blame on Palin and not himself or McCain. McCain ran a trainwreck of a campaign.

 

They basicly highlight all of the gaff's. Which publications do you read - all of them, bridge to nowhere, troopergate, ect.

 

Never has another VP running mate been thrown to the ground from the media, the Dems and the R's. I feel sorry for here after watching this.

Love or hate Palin, the infatuation with her is remarkable. I have always viewed Palin as incredibly shrewd.

I liked it. It kind of humanized her however if it is close to factual then she became drunk with power too easily and close to a nervous breakdown when she failed. She seemed like a weak person and as soon as I felt sorry for her she would do or say something to erase that sympathy. If it is close to factual.

According to the movie both interviews that 'exposed her flaws' were done by great interviewers and were fair questions. After she was exposed it would have been irresponsible for them to not dig deeper. Once you become an elected official your private life is over. That's nothing new.

Naw...that was in the straight to DVD Palin biopic.

Why? Halperin and Heilman are both reputable journalist and while Heilman may be a democratic, Halperin is the one who called the president a d*&k on Morning Joe. He is certainly not a liberal sympathizer.

Because

1) Hollywood isn't known for it's factual representations of real life events-too boring and

2) Much of the book was already called out by many McCain and Palin staff as being untrue.

Even with the fact that I'm the biggest basher of Mrs. Palin on BGP I can't imagine that it wasn't sensationalized. She comes across as mentally unstable. I have no question she's not a great thinker or well read but I find it hard to believe she's that whacked out.

I agree. I also thought she couldn't be that dumb.

 

However what I thought might have been accurate was the way she really enjoyed the attention and spotlight, even to the point of trying to speak the night of the election.

 

It also seemed that McCain comes across having no control over the "Bill Ayers" and "Rev. Wright" stuff. Shifting the blame almost to Palin for increasing the heat of the rhetoric.
