STATE TOP 5 ???

Featured Replies

The question was whether South Laurel had virtually the same team ... they don't, primarily because of Fields' absence. Smith might be playing well, but the Cardinals also had the luxury of bringing a player of his potential off the bench last year, something they don't have this season.

scott co has to be in the top five many people might not agre but I have seen them play and most teams in the state would have trouble matching up with them, plus they have one of the best coaches in the state, which gives them an edge

1. South

2 Shelby Co.

3 E-Town

4.Scott Co.

5 John Hardin/PRP

Wrong my friend. Josh Riley came off the bench and scored a TEAM-HIGH 19 POINTS in the big tourney semifinal game they played this past week. He has the ability to score big time at anytime.

As for the Southwestern fans telling you that South isn't as good as last year's team....they're wrong.

(1) South Laurel (2) Jeffersontown (3) Elizabethtown (4) Pendleton County (5) John Hardin .........

Looks good, but i'd switch PC and JH.

My decision to put Pendleton County in the top 5 will depend on how they do in the MCIT. They have the opportunity to play 3 solid 10th region teams if they take care of business every night. If they do come out on top, then they should be ranked in the top 5 of the state of KY. ;)

Are Smith and Riley as good as Fields and Smith last year? Riley doesn't have the size as the other two guys, which means he probably doesn't cause as many matchup problems.

You've got me pegged wrong, Les ... I could care less about what the Southwestern fans say. And honestly, South Laurel wasn't necessarily the best team in the state last season ... but they won the games that counted.

This could be one of the best MCIT's in recent memory.

Did anyone notice Scott County winning the Roundball Classic in South Carolina by beating Georgia's defending 3A champs by 27(JV palyed last 3 or 4 minutes). Oh yeah, and they trounced Henry Clay too.

Still TOP 5 IN THE STATE .......... Scott County not a TOP 5 @ this point .....

IMO Scott Co. was a definite Top 5 till they lost to LexCath, now they are somewhere from 6-10.

Most people would agree that this year's and last year's LexCath teams are down from what most people expect. But they are still a prideful program scared of no one and capable of stepping up and beating anybody, anywhere at any time. Take their blowout win at South Laurel last year as an example.

Scott Co. is still top-three; LexCath caught them on a bad night.
