Great job Gallatin. Quite the game to watch. SK was in control, total control, for over 3 and a 1/2 qtrs. Steiner let this one get away from them. He needed to pull them in and tell them to quit throwing the ball around, work the clock, and get out of town with the win. (maybe he did tell them, but it didn't happen) . SK continued to make unnecessary passes late in the game in the frontcourt. Gallatin didn't quit and it pays off.

Where are the Simon fans that annointed them all season?? Watched them play again last night and wonder how they won games all year. Their coaches do a good job, but always find a way to choke it away. Please next season dont think you are a top 25 team unless you really are, dont think that you have the best coach on the planet until you actually do. All year we have listened to that crap and 0-2 vs. Gallatin, really now. I told you earlier this week "old coach jones by 3, my bad it was 1. No way Simon would beat Collins as bad as they gave up rebounds last night so you get a little earlier vacation.

Just got home from HC as much as I hate to say it John Jones is by far and away the best coach in the region to keep winning year after year with the undersize teams he keeps running out on the court. His kids never quit tonight and that is a testement to the coaches and the players. One of the best finishes to a game I have ever witnessed.

 

I have been saying this for years. There are coaches who are "good", because their team has great talent. And then there are coaches, like Jon, who are able to take somewhat lesser talent, get them to play together, and still post victories. Billy Hicks is a great coach, don't get me wrong. But with the talent that has been at Scott County over the years, he SHOULD contend/win state championships. But, in my opinion, Jon Jones has done a much greater coaching job at Gallatin, simply because of the talent and expectations for a school that small.

I admit it. I laughed.

Watching the game last night the Morgan kid was dynamic but the team as a whole was outstanding in the 4th quarter. Everyone of those kids did something to contribute. Davis was unbielevable with 3 straight 3's, The kid at the end took a huge shot and if I am not mistaken didn't he hit another one earlier. Like I said earlier one of the best finishes I have ever seen in any ballgame.
