Girls games are hard enough to watch. Can't imagine paying 8 bucks to witness this one! I still won't root for UC because of the Yates era.

Add to that $4 for parking. I will say it was the easiest $40 I've ever made running the scoreboard...lol.

I would also add props to Coach Levandusky for countering with the stalling once the second half started. Heck if you've got a lead on a team that is stalling, then counter with it yourself.

 

With the lead and the ball, the NDA Coach did indeed do the the correct thing and HHS letting NDA do it at least to me, was very puzzling that HHS just stood there!

 

BTW doesn't matter if NDA won by 100 or won by 1, they move on and HHS goes home! :idunno:

If you would of told me that Highlands had the ball with 2 minutes in the game and a chance to go ahead. I would not of believed it. Thus the strategy worked. I must say If NDA would not of been in that siutation if they played more aggressive defense. Every time they attacked Highlands turned the ball over. The Best team does not always win, The team that plays the best wins. Tonight we saw both happen. I could hear highlands coach yelling at halftime about being down four. SHe said it could be 38-34 it doesn't matter.. Trust me this is the best way for us to win. I thought the Highlands girls did a good job. They just missed the big shots at the wrong times. That being said my money is on NDA to win the region and go deep in the state.

I like the strategy. I like even more that someone had the guts to try and use it. Props to you Coach Richey.:clap:

Seniors robbed of last game, regardless of chance to win they really got cheated in this one. They were embarrassed on the court while the crowd yelled. If this were a final perhaps but let em play. Just my opinion obviously.

Jamie will catch some flack for this but, in reality, I pass more blame to Nicole for LETTING it happen. If you're better force HHS to dribble, pass, and shoot.

 

Jame did what she thought was best to win the game and, by golly, it almost worked. Glad I didn't pay to watch it though.

Holy cow, the feller in the other thread sounds like a bit of sour grapes to me. Seriously, get over it. Looks like most agree with this being a great game plan. How else would you of wanted HHS to play without arguably their floor leader. With this being a young team, seems to me this was the best way to attack the Pandas. And NDA won because they were the better team tonight. Just like during the regular season game. NDA won! So really does it matter if NDA would have won 54-48 or something like that. NOPE!!! Again, great game plan!!! Just didn't play out for the Birds this time.

 

I guess the big question is, does any other Coach in the regions try this strategy?

Again if you were there or had listened in to the broadcast you would have learned that they got in free the day of their game as long as they were in uniform. Just wondering but did you drive in the same car as the player? Their school in lieu of having a team bus could have given the girls money to park out of the funds they got from the Ninth Region.
