Just going with my gut here....

I think that Highlands will win tonight. But I think that Lloyd has a better chance to win the next game.

This is where we judge the Bluebirds. We've heard everything from, wait til the football guys get back in form, injuries, regular season doesn't matter and so on. Back in the day the Birds were usually hitting their stride come tournament time. That time has arrived. Go Birds!

Guard Carter New was missing the 1st time these 2 teams met and Lloyd forced countless turnovers. Having him back for the rematch should help some as he is likely the best HHS has for a ball handler. Looking for a closer game in the rematch.

Also, Lloyd was missing 2 players for the Highlands game earlier in the year. Niko Hall and DeAndre Thompson. Both provide quality minutes with a lot of quickness/speed and they will be available tonight.

Noted...should be a good game.

When is the last time two teams with non-winning records squared off in the 9th?

Q ... I think you have hit on the key points in this game:

1. Lloyd does not have size and they really don't have anyone who wants to play inside the 3 point line, let alone in the paint, so how will they handle Towles?

2. Will Lloyd go 3 pointer crazy as they are prone to do and will they hit them?

3. Will Lloyd's depth, quickness and open court pressing style of play lead to enough easy baskets to get Lloyd the win?

That is where I feel uneasy about Lloyd. Would like to see them succeed, but they do put a lot of money on their outside shooters.

Bigger court, bigger crowd, just a plain bigger deal at BOK can lend itself to distraction at the 3 point line.

Lloyd's quickness, steals and fastbreaks will be a big factor for them tonight, IMO.

Legit question. Both earned it via the rules of the tourney. No hatin'.

Gut feeling that the Birds prevail in a close game on a cold-shooting night for the Juggs. However, rooting for the Juggs!
