This is the prime example of why people hate politics. They can't even scoop up their dog poo without someone talking about it or asking what store there poo bag came from. That family has the most stressful job in the world. I think a few vacations are the least of our concerns.

I think people see what they want to see. It's no surprise (yet frustrating) that people's perceptions have broken down along partisan lines in this thread (for the most part).

I admit...I'm all for EVERYONE taking vacations....I don't care who you are are what party you belong to. Any who want to vacation at a certain Southern Indiana location are particularly loved by me.

Going off of what Marvel posted above, I recall seeing shirts with President Bush's image on them that said "Home Grown Terrorist", depicting him as the devil, his intelligence was continuously insulted, and he was depicted as a monkey (which was fair game back then, but is somehow off limits for President Obama). None of this is okay, regardless of who is President, but to say that President Obama has it worse is entirely laughable.

That his religion has been questioned?

That Ayers and Jeremiah Wright are his best buds and tell him what to do?

That his wife is a fat, ugly ape?

That he is a communist?

That a member of congress yells out "you lie!" in one of his addressed?

That a governor sticks her finger in your face? (Never saw more on this one, so I'll assume that it is what it seems)

I don't think anyone is denying that wild things were said about Bush, but it seems you are just as guilty of ignoring some of the wild things said about Obama as you claim others are about Bush. And the monkey thing has racial connotations that exist with Obama and not for Bush (for obvious reasons).

I don't even know where to look. And the point is that you don't even realize that the media is feeding you the info about Michelle Obama, but not about others. When the President's wife walks the dog it makes news. Meanwhile others in Congress (and their wives/husbands) are doing the same things to no fanfare.

With a name like Barack HUSSEIN Obama, who wouldn't question his birthplace and religion. After all he was raised in a Muslim country in Indonesia.

President Bush was called a murderer.

 

President Bush was called an idiot, he was depicted as a monkey as well.

 

People claimed President Bush let the 9/11 attacks happen as an excuse to go into Iraq.

He was said to have staged 9/11.

 

All those are were leveled against him as President.

 

Sorry, but being called a terrorist, having people claim you "staged" a national tragedy for political gain, and being called a murderer are far far worse than any of the claims made about President Obama.
