So I just read the article and really that's what a lot of video game developers are already doing with the online passes so I'm not really too surprised. I'm not sure how much longer video game stores are going to be around either, you're already able to download games directly to your box so they run better and can download games off of the Xbox live Marketplace.

This is true but this can often times take up a lot of memory on your hard drive so I so I'm not a 100% sold on getting all my games online and then downloading.

I dunno, it seems like the online pass is kind of the bridge to the no used games gig but it's hard to say for sure because they haven't announced any thing official. I'm sure at this point they're releasing idea info to the public and trying to get a feeler for how the gaming community responds. Let's not kid ourselves though, ultimately if they think they can make more money by not allowing used games then we know what direction they will take.

Makes sense if you ask me. They could leave prices where they're at and make even more money or maybe even drop prices some to make it more appealing. By doing this though places like game stop are really going to have a hard time getting by.
June 19, 201214 yr Some new possible leaked info on the XBox 720 Project, including Kinect 2.0 and Augmented Reality Glasses. Here's the link Not sure how I would feel about all games going to the cloud. What if your internet connection is down? Can you not play games at all then?
July 2, 201214 yr I don't like the idea of not having discs. One advantage would be not having to worry about damaging the disc but then again I couldn't sell old games that I never play anymore.

Good point about not being able to resell, would kill video game stores, I would think they'd be forced to drop the prices by atleast $10-20 depending on the game. Then again with it being part of newer better technology I wouldn't be surprised if they said we should be selling these games for $80, but we will keep them at $60.00 due to the fact that there isn't a resale value. Hard tellin.
August 3, 201214 yr I feel like they have to make the new Xbox blu-ray compatible. Will blu-ray or DVD's really be that common in another 5 years? They probably will go ahead and do it but I have purchased about 20-25 movies over the past year or 2, not sure if any one of them was actually on a disc.
