Holmes will play Beechwood in the first round and if they win that, face either Covcath or Holy Cross in the finals. Holmes has beaten both already.... CCH by 2 at home and HC by 11 at HC.

Okay thanks BN24. I was thinking BOK Center for both. Not sure why. Obviously that is not the case. Not quite as excited about Regents Hall as BOK Center, but understand it will be much better than being at Beechwood just due to the size difference.

 

I will be very curious to see the attendance. If it isn't 1200 plus, then it would be better to just hold it at Beechwood.

According to nku.edu...Regents Hall holds 1,685...that is on their volleyball page, I guess since they haven't used it for basketball since BOK was built?

Holy Cross also holds 900; Cov Cath 1,200; Holmes 3,000. Beechwood is comparable to Holy Cross and Holy Cross is not moving districts from their place when it is their turn to host.

I don't blame them. It is their right to hold it where they want and if they want to keep it on their home floor that is fine. Could give them more of an advantage I'm sure.

Nothing stirs the crowd up as much as a great big ole nasty dunk. I love the reaction in a crowded gym when someone throws one down.

 

 

On a sidenote, one of the Holmes players always asks me on my facebook page if I am coming to their game to see them dunk.....and no it is not Rice.

^ Along those lines (sorry to go off game thread topic), since you go to so many games paNDA, who in N. Ky. are the players that come to mind when you think about dunking? Rice obviously. I would guess Bray at Lloyd has thrown down some good ones.

Parker Stansberry from Dixie can do it with authority, and Tony Campbell brought down the house with a thunderous dunk in the All A final game. Other that those four mentioned I haven't seen a whole lot of dunks. Rice is the king of dunk so far in the 9th.

Can't overlook anyone in the postseason...see the Holmes-Beechwood game last year in the first round as a perfect example why. If not for Jaleel Gray going off for 35 and Chris Hayes 25, Holmes probably loses that game.

Where has Hayes been this season? In the doghouse? The Enquirer listed him in their Top 10 players this year earlier and I was just wondering. LOL
