From 2005-06 season to present Holmes has lost to CovCath 4 times including 3 in one season (2006-07), NewCath 4 times including twice last year and Boone County 4 times including twice last year, Dixie twice, and Ryle twice.

 

I missed one of the CCH wins in 2006-7. I only had them down for 2 wins over Holmes that year. As you said, CCH beat Holmes 3 times that season and then lost in the regional championship. Holmes went to the state semifinals that year, losing to state champion Scott County. CCH has not beaten Holmes since that 2006-7 season.

Their 4 will guard Rice. Zane will have to take Knox.

Agreed. He is this years' version of Trevan Brown.

Without the benefit of having seen the Rebels yet this year, my gut says Boone comes with something to prove to themselves, and keeps it close. They need confidence as post season draws near, and playing a solid game with the Bulldogs will do it. Game can go either way, but by no more than 3 or 4 points.

I have to somewhat disagree. As Clyde stated, Brown had a height advantage, but if Knox was the same size, he would dominate in this region. He really knows how to use his body and I think is maybe a little more skilled. If Knox gets the ball down low, he rarely misses in one on one situations.

Knox is 6'2"? I'm not sure that is a good matchup. I see McQueary just shooting over top of Knox. McQueary's game is not a down low game. He is a catch and shoot guy who will hit the 3 if you give him the least bit of an opening. But he has been in a bit of a slump lately so who knows.
