February 6, 201214 yr I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a "gentlemens agreement" among big ten coaches, meanwhile the SEC schools were coming after their recruits and stealing them away. Urban has now brought that to OSU. I am thinking some big ten schools better turn it up a notch or OSU is going to run away with the title year after year. What title would that be? OSU can't hang with the SEC no matter who their coach is!

Throw in the fact that they have another hot recruiting bed in Pennsylvania and they have plenty to draw from on a local basis. OSU's prestige in terms of football is on par for the most part with UK Basketball. They can walk into virtually into any home of any state of any recruit they want and they will have their full and undivided attention. Meyer is attempting to take their recruiting to whole another level right now. It was very good even before him and he is going to improve on that even further. He has been successful everywhere he has gone and I don't see this job being any different.

We have two highly rated kids out of Ohio we beat The Vest for. Two years ago, and I'm not sure how many Bama kids are at TOSU. Or Southern kids, can you research this to prove your point? Now with Urbans experince at Florida I'm thinking he might come to the south and do pretty good. I just don't give as much Creedence to TOSU tradition as you might. But I wasn't Born On the Bayou on a Bad Moons Risen...

Since you are UK's #1 fan, it is kind of comical that you are talking trash to OSU fans about football. You just keep riding the coat tails of the upper tier SEC teams if that makes you feel a sense of accomplishment. I guess if you want to claim the last 6 National Championships you have the right to do that but in reality your team has won none of those.

February 7, 201214 yr The Big 10 is actually catching up with the times here recently and sounds like they are on board with a four team playoff for the BCS. From the way I read it the proposal was to eliminate the top 4 teams in the BCS from the bowl selections and have the #1 team face #4 on their home field and #2 to host #3 on their home field with the winners advancing to the Title game. I just hope everyone will jump on board and this can get done. At least this scenerio the BCS is a popularity contest between 4 teams instead of 2 and the teams can fight it out on the field.

February 10, 201214 yr BIG 10 needs to understand its common practice for humans to change their minds. Urban changed his to come to OSU. Its legal and understood that the signing date in binding in February, but a player can still be recruited. There is a QB out of Georgia who has commited to the Dogs and Coach Saban visited him/coach a few days ago. We have lost kids too. Its the nature of the Verbal/LOI
