January 31, 201214 yr This thread helped settle a debate at work. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of the most overrated movies of all time. It'd make my top 20....top 25 for sure. Agreed. Not a top fiver for me, but would probably be in the top 20.
January 31, 201214 yr Funny you guys mentioned this, b/c I just watched this film a couple of nights ago. Thought it was very strong for 3/4 & then I was thoroughly disappointed with the final 1/4. A lot of people had problems with the last part of the film, but I think it was done pretty much perfectly. I could go into why I think that if you want, but I'm too lazy to type it out right now lol. THere are sooo many different meanings and hidden messages in the film and that's part of the reason it is so enjoyable to me. The main reason it's probably my favorite is the majority of great movies have a couple memorable/unforgettable/amazing scenes. It seems that every 15 minutes there are scenes like that in this movie.
