Dixie Heights 60 Lloyd 58

Is this score correct? Anyone have details?

WOW!

Is this a case of playing down to the level of competition? - Wow...

This is the case of not playing good defense. Any team that is a contender for the 9th can beat Dixie with the way they play defense.

I don't think giving up 60 points to Dixie would be considered great defense. Did anyone go to the game? Details please.

We broadcast the game last night and what a one to pick. Lloyd stayed even until late 3rd quarter and into the 4th when they found themselves down about 15. Lloyd 's first 4 baskets in the 4th quarter were three pointers and eventually tied the game late. Great atmosphere, gym was packed. Both teams game in undefeated in district play. Great job by the Juggernauts. They came into the game with over 540 3 point attempts, so we knew the potential for a great game was there.

Coach Stainforth at the helm for Dixie, but Coach Chev was at the bench, still recovering from illness. I don't have numbers, but Brandon Hatton led all scorers I believe with 25 or so.

I'll have the game video on the website later this week.

That is what I would have guessed - 3 pointers. Lloyd LOOOVES to shoot the 3. If it goes in, they will hang with you. They have a quick team that can play some defense and get some steals. Bray is one of the most physically gifted players in the region. But their whole offense is run down floor and shoot the first 3 you can. I would like to see Lloyd's team with a more disciplined approach on the floor. They would be a serious threat to win games in the regional IMO.

Surprised by this to say the least. Interesting to see that Lloyd can contend with the big boys and makes the 9th look like even more of a head scratcher than it already is. I wasn't at the game but my gut is telling me that Dixie's intense schedule over the weekend at the Toyota Classic @ Scott County perhaps had them burned out and not entering the game with much enthusiasm. Of course that's no excuse, but It wouldn't surprise me if that's where their heads were at.

Wow. Very surprised by this score. Even though they didn't win, great job for Lloyd. Just shows that most anyone can compete with anyone on any given night.

Turnovers did play a part in this one. A few "out of reach" passes and Lloyd takes the "upset".

I know there are some people that had the opinion that Dixie wouldn't lose a game to a Northern Ky team this year. Wonder if this changes that opinion. I thought before this game that they would get beat by someone up here...Their toughest stretch is coming in the next 3 weeks as far as teams locally.

Dixie won't go undefeated in the region. It's just too hard. Even when Holmes was led by the trio of the Johnson Brothers and Pittman, they still lost atleast one region game.

Dixie will see Holmes, Covcath, Boone, and Holy Cross in the next few weeks. They will have atleast one slip up before district play...I'm going to go with Tuesday night...............................:D
