New England 23 Baltimore 20

One thing I think that had been overlooked by the media is that Cundiff didn't get onto the field until there were only 11 seconds left on the play clock. He didn't get to go through any warm up and had to rush to get in place. Not sure why he was so late onto the field but Baltimore should have used their last timeout to get everything set up.

Yes they should have. But it was still a chip shot that he shanked.

Agitated this morning. Love Balt was pulling for San Fran. Feel like they were the two best teams yesterday with physical D's and both lost on special teams. Balt's clock management was awful at the end of the game. Never understand why you have kickers that you don't trust. Cundiff was 1-6 50 and beyond this year. They didn't even attempt the kick to tie where they flase started then Cam Camron ran out of the gun to get backed up more. Camron was awful in the playoffs I thought. I saw an ESPN breakdown that said Baltimore had the most vanillia off they have scouted since the 1960's!!! That's crazy! Flacco made some poor decisions. If he dumps the ball to Leach instead of forcing in the endzone on the other end it was a TD. 4th+1 he had Rice wide open instead he threw it out of bounds over double coverage. You HAVE to give your guys a chance to make a play on the ball in that situation. Can't stand kickers!

A lot of people have been asking about that last timeout.

I don't feel bad at all for Baltimore. In fact, if there was ever a team that I could take real pleasure in seeing lose a game in this type of fashion, it is the Ravens.

Perhaps Ed Reed should have motivated his kicker this week.

Really nice post, about Reed. Coaching sometimes can cost you a game. Call a timeout. Not a Pats fan at all, was pulling for th Ravens. Ozzie Newsome, a real good Bama guy is their GM.

They said Cundiff was 1 for 10 from 50 yards plus, that's why they didn't kick the earlier one from 51 or 52 yards. I thought Cundiff did very well in the postgame interview by owning up to the miss and how he felt bad for the other players such as Lewis and Reed who are near the end of their careers. Didn't Shane Graham leave the Bengals locker room without speaking to reporters after the playoff loss to the Jet's?

For the record, I have a strong dislike for the Ravens football team, but I'm actually a big fan of Ed Reed.

Can't say I disagree, but can definitely say it's freakin me out as I try to get thru the 3rd season of LOST all alone.

I understand, When Chris Redman went to the Ravens he got a ring didn't play. But when the QB left the job was Chris, but Brian Bullick (sp) went to Kyle Boller as the starter who didn't sign until late summer and they gave the job to him...Wasn't fair at all. Since then I always pulled against them until Brian left. Not a Pats fan.

I'm pretty sure they did that because they had just drafted Boller in the 1st round and Redman sucked.
