January 22, 201214 yr This is sad but every one knew it was coming. I told my dad when they announced PSU was parting ways with Joe Pa that I would be surprised if he was around another 6 months. Just sad. Being diagnosed with small cell lung cancer is about a six month life expectancy. Losing his team certainly didn't help either. Prayers to the family, and let's hope he's remembered for his many positive achievements, not the Sandusky mess.

But yea I agree it all took it's toll on him, that would be a lot for any one to deal with let alone an 85 year old man.
